that's what i don't understand, i made about fifty or more kits and i really don't give a fck who uses it for whatever. whenever someone asks if he could use them for a patch i say "of course you can" - should he make them again just because i made them and they are "mine"? ockham asked me if he can use my kits for cep, i don't know if he did, but i said he could use them. and now i can't use the patch, and the reason for that is that the work of the people who made all that stuff (so probably me too) needs to be protected. that's absurd, don't you think?

And my problem is, Why cant i edit CEP Database files ?? I want to Include an japanese team in English League B..How can i do without any database editing ? How Is it possible to Edit CEP database ? Please help mee..I really wanna play With CEP..

unlike you, i don't accuse him or anyone of stealing. i don't think it's stealing using other people's work to create something that's good for the fifa community (i don't do it, don't worry, because i know most of the people here think of it as stealing), so i don't accuse him to make that clear. this way of thinking is exactly what ruined this patch. you can't blame him for locking the database and at the same time blaming him for stealing, it's like saying "no human being should be killed by other human beings, so hang all murderers!". i don't know if i'm in the credits or if he used my stuff because i didn't download it.

Hi.. Ockham Made A Camera Fix Patch For Fifa 06 That Allowed Better Height And Zoom It Totaly Transfered The Look Of The Game So Why Hasn't He Released One For 07? Or Is There Any Way Of Adapting The 06 Camera Fix To 07? I think this is a good post. I still think that all who want to use other patches should ask for permission from the original authors and give credit. But i agree that patches shouldn't be close because of the small amount of abusers out there. It's not the majority of the community out there who are in error, so why punish them. So a "special" creation master is being made, just sounds like redundancy to me.

The editing of fifa should be for fun, and in principle should be open. I'm really not worried about people abusing my patches I make. If they do, it will be obvious to the whole community that it is happening. And if anybody asks me, they can use my stuff, but I do like it that they ask.

It makes me wonder if CEP is EVER shared to anybody, and if not, then I would disagree with that. It should be shared to those who ask to use it. Because those who contribute are also sharing to make it what it is.

But I'm more talking on a theoretical level at the moment to get people to think, because I don't know what is specifically happening in this situation.

I have discussed of what to do with OckHAM and this is what we decided. The release 2.0 of CM07 (that is going to be released the 30 of december, hopefully the same day that the new CEP version will be released too) will allow to edit the CEP database. Each user will be able to edit the CEP database for his own use. The CM07 will also have a function to create and load patches (similar to the C06 files of CC but much more complete). You can therefore also to create and distribute patches starting from the CEP (think to them like a CEP expansion), this kind of CEP expantions will be imported only if the user has the CEP installed. I mean: you can't use a CEP expansion if you do not have the CEP itself. On the other side a patch created starting from a non CEP database will be imported in any case. This will allow to the community to fully enjoy the CEP but also to protect the hard work of Ockham and his staff.
