Imagine, they are playing in CL next year... OMG
Bobby;2673048 said:52, and they're the most successful team in the world in terms of league titles, yes. It's worth noting they're only the third most successful Scottish club in Europe. An honor they share with Dundee United having made a UEFA Cup final and lost. Aberdeen are the most successful, then Celtic.

Nady;2673143 said:Celtic won the Champions League in 1967 and is the only scottish club to do so. So it should be the most successful ahead of Aberdeen.

"We've got one left-back and one right-back at the football club. It doesn't take a genius to work out that you need more than that.

Alan Shearer had this to say about Newcastle:
Out of a squad of what size? No wonder...
newbie original;2673457 said:The English Premier League as a whole has next to NO DEPTH...other than a few teams!!! Once you get past the Big 4, the "quality of opposition" factor experiences a steep drop off. You just cannot rely on any of those trailing teams to pose much of a threat to the the Champions League teams....you just can't. Because they won't. It doesn't matter if you get your hopes up that a rival, that you're chasing, has to deal with injuries and yellow cards......if they are a top4 team, they will NOT be beaten by the trailing teams in the big games. Those weaker teams are so weak that they WILL find a way to lose. The league just doesn't have the kind of depth that people seem to suggest it does. Aston Villa, Tottenham, Everton and City just aren't up to snuff and quite frankly cannot be depended on to dislodge, or even present a sizeable challenge, to any of the Big 4.
You won't get that in Italy.....AC Milan had hopes of catching Inter...ok, they may have not had a realistic chance of catching but they could have atleast put the pressure on Inter by wining their games.....yet they've had trouble against teams other than Juve or Inter. Even Real Madrid in Spain, especially over the last few weeks, struggled to keep the pressure on Barca....lesser teams are challenging them AND BEATING THEM! You just can't expect that to happen in England.
