Monaco defender Hugo Ibarra has blasted Porto coach Jose Mourinho ahead of the UEFA Champions League final between the two clubs.

The Argentinian full back was loaned by Porto to Monaco at the start of the season and has been left bemused by Mourinho's attitude.

The Portuguese coach is believed to be interesting Chelsea and Liverpool but he will get his comeuppance for his antics at Old Trafford after Porto's last-minute equaliser, according to Ibarra.

"When he arrived, Mourinho suspended me," Ibarra told L'Equipe.

"He had his men and I didn't figure in his plans.

"In some situations, Mourinho lacks some class.

"In England, at the end of the match against Manchester, his gesture towards the fans was not worthy of a professional coach. A great coach managing an important club cannot give the V-sign.

"One day, he will pay for that.

"People need time to see who Mourinho really is."

ahem it was Ferguson who played down Porto's strenght and offended them and all us portuguese, I would do the same thing if my team scored a last minute equaliser against them. I wouldn't shake Fergie's hand either after he said they were cheating in the end of the 1st leg.

I'm not saying Mourinho hasn't a bad character, he's a dipsh*t most of the time but in this case his behaviour has excuses.

...
The Victory sign with the 2 fingers... what about it? is it rude? Not here...

Monaco - Porto..... the game everybody dreamed of seeing:rolleyes:

i want monaco to win, just to silence my overconfident portuguese friends. From watching tha last few porto games, this is sure to be a boring game, with little class. Although Monaco has quality.:D

It's impossible to blame the boringness of the Deportivo saga solemly on Porto, especially if you saw the first leg they had against United, they were simply astonishing in the game, and it was one of the best performances by a team this year, IMO, behind Depor beating Milan 4-0 and Monaco beating Madrid 4-2.

And about Ibarra, he's an attention whore. He forgets that at the end of the day his contract is still with Porto. He's been trying so desperately to get into the limelight in Portugal recently. First by admitting that he made his goal through his hand, and now by bitching at Mourinho.

"The V-sign"-The sign of a true crackhead, especially when Mourinho came out with only 1 finger out. I think he was just pissed because he wasn't able to celebrate.

IMO, everyone is counting against Porto once again, while Porto fans and the Porto board approach the game cautiously everybody says they are over-cocky, and for that IF Porto do win you can expect big celebrations with a "cock in your face" attitude.

This final will be a good wake-up call for all those "so-called" big cups.

Next years' champions league would be even more exciting! Every team would be fighting and trying their very best.

I really hope POrto wins, since they've won the Uefa Cup last year i've really been liking them. Also because I have a deal with my teacher that if they'd win he'd pay me a Coke but if Monaco win i'd have to pay him a beer, same ting happened for the UEfa Cup final, but i lost, but this time i shant lose!!

Well, the big day has finally come. Will it be "Blue Heaven" for FC Porto, or will Monaco be crowned the princes of European club football for this season? Let me give my grades for each area (from one to five stars)

Goalkeeping: ASM: *** FCP: ****

Defence: ASM: *** FCP: ****

Midfield: ASM: **** FCP: ****

Attack: ASM: ****-and a half FCP: ****

Coaching: ASM: **** FCP: *****

Man, it looks so even, but I'm with my heart AND my head and I am taking FC Porto to return the trophy back to Portugal for the time since 1987. However, one thing's for sure: it will be a close one in Gelsenkirchen?....Gelsenpilsner?.....Gelsenfishin'?.....meh, Germany!

A Belgian couple is about to lose their job. Now this doesn't seem special. Well, in a last chance of getting some money, the man entered a betting contest: "Get 10 bets right and win 50 000 €." He already has 9 of them right. Number 10 is: Porto to win the CL!

His predictions (click on: 49 599 € indien Porto wint)...

What makes them so special? People are losing their jobs al over the world and they do not get any chances to win anything....not even a cent so yes I do feel sorry for the couple but what about the rest of the unemployed people on this planet? It is a bit unfair to be a bit more sympathetic for one umemployed stranger than for another unemployed stranger.:kader:

For me the most important part was

Is there one game that defines Sky Sports' Champions League coverage?

Deportivo: defied logic
MARTIN: When I look back at this season, the overall highlight - and I've must have covered 110 games - will undoubtedly be that memorable night at the Riazor, when Deportivo turned round a 4-1 defecit to knock out AC Milan. It was the night after Chelsea had beaten Arsenal and to be perfectly honest, we went out there expecting Milan to cruise through, in what looked to all intents and purposes a dead rubber. We were there because it was our live Wednesday night game, but none of us could have predicted what happened next. It happened in two phases: first Deportivo went 3-0 up in the first half, which was enough to put them through on away goals. But they didn't stop there and did enough to keep Milan on their toes throughout the second half before Fran capped a sensational night with the fourth. Afterwards we were all stunned and even the likes of Johnny Giles, who was out there working and has seen it all before, couldn't quite believe it. We had pitched up expecting nothing and got a game that defied all logic. And the thing I remember vividly was the way the viewing figures picked up as the game went on. Word of mouth got around about what was happening and people obviously tuned in to see it for themselves. A truly wonderful night - there were only a few of us out there, but I felt like we should have got tee-shirts printed to mark the occasion!

Man, that was the game of the year and the best game that will be played for a long time !:rockman: :rockman: :rockman:
