they have reserves dun they...they should be used as they also want football....it will be hard to compare teams now...and think about the Cl prediction league by klinsmann....4 matches fewer...

Which were the best matches ever played in CL history?The knockout matches,such as Real Madrid-Man.Utd.(twice,in 2000 and 2003),Juve-Man.Utd.(2000),Valencia-Lazio,Valenci-Barcelona etc.The group matches become so boring sometimes,since there might be a total lack of interest and teams tend to think:"OK,what if I lose this match,I still have plenty of group matches to fight for"-whereas in knockout matches,it is only you and your opponent in just two matches,there is no place for mathematics and indifference.So,I say,the new CL will be much more interesting and exciting.plus the fact there will be,at last,a hope for a minor team to struggle for a place in the Final

Yes I'm happy the 2nd Group stage has gone. Now its time to scrap the 1st Group stage too and get back to the way it was. A Champions Cup for Champions only and only on a 2 leg knock out basis.

To me the smaller teams are just goign to get butchered if they survive the first group. UEFA needs to throw rankings out the window so anyone can play anyone from any country.
