Fiorentina and Atleti in pot 4! makes complete sense, but still a surprise when you remember that that's where they should be ... looking at the others from pot 4: Shaktar will be dangerous too, if they can produce what they did in the first half of last year's group stages again ... and Milevskiy's Dynamo could be more than just a banana skin ...

if last season's form is anything to go by, Zenit and Fener the most dangerous teams in Pot 3 ... I suppose we should first see what Zenit make of Man Yoo, and then maybe we can make some early judgments ... Laurent Blanc's Bordeaux could be ones to watch out for too ...

Pot 2 holds returning giants Bayern and Juve ... I could easily see one or two Groups of Death forming ... conversely, with P$V and Sporting also in this Pot, a couple of -- no offence -- easier Groups could crop up too ...

some very competitive groups are in the offing!

It still cracks me up that CFR Cluj is in it, basically because of the results that Steaua has had in Europe in the past 5 seasons but whatever, I'm glad there are two Romanian teams in the group stage, the first time that has ever happened.

I'm hoping for:

PSV/Werder/Sporting
Steaua
Aalborg/BATE/Anorthosis

with our usual luck in draws though, our group will probably look something more like this:

Barcelona
Bayern
Steaua
Fiorentina

That would be totally gay

I think with the team we have now we have a really good chance of advancing as long as we get as favorable of a group as possible, obviously however if we end up in a group such as the second one I wrote above we would have pretty much no chance, as would most any teams in the world.

I was 2/3 right . Oh well, I'm looking forward to these matches. I don't think Lyon or Bayern are as strong as they have been in the past, as for Fiorentina, that's just awesome since Mutu will be playing in Ghencea where he lost as a Dinamo player quite a few times .
