In CL you're absolutely right. Chelsea conceeded 2 against Porto in the final game which meant they finished on 3 conceeded. They scored 10.

Juve conceeded just one goal, an amzing achievement, and scored 6.

To be honest, when the knockout competition starts I tend to avoid refering statistics anyway. It's all or nothing rather than consistency. I still think overall Chelseas defense is consistently more comfortable with a stardard opponent (but let's face it, Ronaldinho is far from standard).

Form goes out of the window, and Pede I can see so many people getting wound up by your comments. No team left in the competition is unbeatable, and in my honest opinion I believe nobody has anymore of a chance of winning it than another. Form doesn't really have much meaning in a knockout competition, look at Real Madrid a few years ago when they won it but finished like 5th in La Liga.

I think the key to winning the Champions League is to score more away goals and don't concede them. I put Juventus as favourites along with Milan. They don't concede away goals that often.

Im not trying to sound arrogant or contravene those stats given by FN up there, but i wouldnt take any defense in the whole world over what Chelsea's. Granted, some of their prowess is due to the skill of Makalele, but even with Bridge out, the back four Chelsea can put in there, plus a guy like Huth and Cech in goal, well, i have every confidence of being able to hold bayern back (maybe ). Scoring on their defense though, is another matter. I hope we have Robben back, but even then, its gonna be a damn good, close match

Err, no I dont think I do. Milan has the more complete team by far, with an excellent defense, midfield, and the best attacker in the world. But I would put Chelsea's defense on par with Milans. And to preempt your next comment, i realize they dont have the experience of the 4 warriors Milan has. Oh, and Adizlaja is right: Cech is on par with the best keeper in the world right now. He, Buffon and Casillas are the triumvirate of top form keepers. Granted he has a fantastic defense in front of him, but someone would have to be foolish to think he isnt one of the best.
