the team has rested only like two damn weeks this season and they have to play the pre-season only 4 day after the league is over

According Bild you have signed Mourinho and Falcao. Bild is on fire.
British press are reporting this too (well, not that the deal is done, but that Mourinho is coming and part of the deal is a huge bid for Falcao), but considering we dont even know for sure that we will be playing champions league football next season I think this is premature.

Ha...... our schedule this season has been just murderous.... still, I cant imagine John Terry and Ashley Cole are going to be doing much training in New York other than training other mens wives to cheat on them.....

So, Lamps is now on 201 goals, meaning one more and he equals Tambling, two more and he breaks the record. I certainly hope he manages it. He has, at most, 6 matches to score those 2 goals (assuming he doesn't get renewed). It's doable, but I'm not sure he'll feature in all 6 matches, much less start. Still, good for him.

This is the table now:

2. ManCity - 71 pts - 30 GD - 4 matches remaining
3. Chelsea - 65 pts - 33 GD - 4 matches remaining
4. Arsenal - 64 pts - 30 GD - 3 matches remaining
5. Spurs - 62 pts - 17 GD - 4 matches remaining
6. Everton - 59 pts - 14 GD - 3 matches remaining

So, we need 3 points to make sure Everton don't overtake us, 9 to do that with Spurs, and 8 to do the same with Arsenal. Also, City would need 7 points to clinch 2nd. We still have to face United, Spurs, Everton and Villa, so it won't be easy, but ultimately, 8 points are enough. I assume (if we don't we're shit) that we'll get 3 points of Villa, relegation or no relegation. That leaves 5, 3 of which we should be able to get off Everton since I assume that on the last day they won't have any chance of getting into Europe (if they do, we're probably safe in the CL anyway).

If we beat Spurs (at home for christ's sake), we'd need 4 points off the remaining matches (3 off Villa and 1 off either Everton or ManU). So, all in all, any 3 victories and we're through, or 2 victories and a draw if we one of those victories is Spurs. We could still clinch 2nd too. Let's do this guys, if we beat ManU I'd say we're set (although they did draw with Arsenal at the Emirates).

Season hasn't ended, but IMO, our best players this season have been, in order:

1. Mata
2. David Luiz
3. Hazard
4. Cech
5. Ivanovic

After that I suppose I'd say Ramires, Azpi and Oscar, although thinking about this season has been quite crap. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't even put Hazard in there, but even being inconsistent as he has been, he has been much better than most in the squad. Right now I think so long as Mata, Luiz and Cech are on the field we can pull it off, without them I feel much less secure. That said, Oscar and Hazard have, at times, shown that they can pull Mata's weight. No one can do what Luiz does, though. That kid is just awesome, and finally people are jumping on the Luiz for Captain bandwagon. I can legitimately see him becoming the best CB in the world, as well as a top class DM (of the creative mould we need, no less). Not both, though, and I think he's best at CB.

I absolutely love that kid. My list of kits to get, when I get a chance, has been, in order: Ivanovic, Terry, Mata (and once the Belgians establish themselves one of them), but Luiz has jumped to the top of that list.

You can see Luiz becoming the best CB in the world? Are the rest going to die? Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. I like to like Luiz, he's fun, but he has a lot of defensive flaws.

Yeah I like Luiz too, but I havent been THAT overwhelmed by him this season. He didnt step up when we went through our bad patch. He still makes mistakes, he is still rash, he still gets booked too much. However, I agree he is maturing, he is getting more solid defensively and more disciplined as a player. For a time I thought we would have to retrain him to midfield or lose him, now I agree with you that he could be a key figure in our defense IF we start defending properly.

Great season: Mata, Cech, Cole
Very good season: Azpilicueta, Luiz, Ramires, Ivanovic
Promising season: Oscar, Ba, Hazard, Moses, Bertrand
Slightly disappointing season: Cahill, Mikel, Marin, Romeu (mainly due to injury)
Disappointing season: Torres, Benayoun

I didnt include Terry and Lampard but they were both pretty ok I guess, some important goals from Lampard.

He has lapses in concentration, it's not a lack of tactical acumen or technical deficiency or even physical shortcoming. It's just experience and cutting down on the over-ambitious passes. He'll only be able to cut those out, however, once the squad has someone else capable of creating from deep. So, I think another year as a starter and the arrival of a creator COULD see him becoming the best. I think once he becomes captain (and he will), the added responsibility will actually make him step up exactly in those areas in which he lacks, namely concentration.

Besides, he's criminally underrated. Right now, I'd say he's definitely in the Top 10 of CBs in the world. I mean, who else is there? Hummels, Dante, Pepe, Pique, Kompany, Thiago Silva, maybe Vidic, maybe Ramos, maybe Subotic, I suppose Barzagli and/or Chiellini although I haven't watched Juventus more than was necessary so I'm not certain. With Luiz, those 12 CBs, and IMO Luiz stands at 6th or 7th right now (and I'm giving Kompany and Pique and edge even though their season has been one characterised by stagnation whereas Luiz has improved by leaps and bounds).

Luiz's errors are easier to notice because he's so distinct. He has made much fewer defensive mistakes this season (hell, even Hummels gifted Madrid a lifeline). I would be very surprised if at no point in the next 5 years is David Luiz one of the best two CBs in the world. Shocked even. He would probably start in every single side in the world today (you could argue he wouldn't at Barca, Bayern and Dortmund, but that's mainly because of style, in terms of ability, if he focused more and recycling posession, he'd probably start for them, too).

Kid's adorable, don't be hatin'.

You guys need to watch more Portuguese League so as not to get your hopes up that much.

I mean, Jupp Heynckes is probably going to win his SECOND CL, and Luiz is one of the best CBs in the world! :D It's so funny.

I dont know man, I wouldnt put him noticeably ahead of Vermaelen or Vertonghen or Coloccini or Rami right now..... but yeah, he is on the up whilst many of those you mentioned are stagnant or on the slide, I agree with that
