We're apparently close to.wrapping up a 8m deal for Vitesse's Van Ginkel, a young MC.

I mentioned him a while back, and so did Max:

whatever I've seen of Marco van Ginkel has been really impressive, and I expect him to become a top player ...

Other names worth watching because of talent are Van Ginkel, Maher (!), Clasie, Martins Indi, De Vrij, Fischer, Djuricic among some others.

still prefer to see him go to Ajax, but it'll take the player insisting on Ajax for that to happen ... and it'd be hard to see why someone would do that when there's the option of a José Mourinho Chelsea ... plus, Vitesse would prefer the sale + loan back arrangement they'd likely get with you guys ... but with Kevin de Bruyne returning, what do you need him for?

The Sneijder links are stupid. I doubt Mou is dumb enough to bring Sneijder in.

If he would be prepared to take a massive pay cut (which he might to work with Jose again) I am not sure it is such a bad idea. He is still not that old and he still looks good, a summer of intensive fitness work and he could be top quality again.

With Oscar, Mata and Hazard, there's just no point in him coming here. We need different options out wide, not through the centre. And there are younger players we'd be better off buying anyway.
