"Checking network settings"

I have being offline for 5 weeks (changing isps) and now that I am back online I find that when I go to play a game of pes5 I of course go to network and then it hangs at the "checking network settings" screen :(
It was perfect b4 I went offline
Help!!!!!

It appears to be a pes5 related prob, I have tried numerous things
switching dmz on and disabling firewall in my router

anyone got the port forwarding numbers that might be the answer etc?
