Exactly. Cheerleading is a over the top American thing. It wouldn't work for the game of football because it's non stop action, in American football their is so many stop starts, then the cheerleaders can do there thing without ruining the concerntration of the players. Americanising our football wouldn't be a good idea, most European fans of the game love football the way it is.
there should be 'chickleaders' behind home goal line to deconcentrate opponent team, especially during penalties 
I personally like the idea of cheerleaders, we can copy bright sides of american soccer into european football tho
we have a proverb here "Kobieta łagodzi obyczaje" (dunno how to translate it) and it's true, it can prevents hools-fools from destroying stadium as long as they can put their eyes on something nice

Well we have the dancing during the middle of the game and neither side have I seen ever been distracted by them. The only times I see the away team distractes si when us in the Stampede(Rhinos supporters) hassle them. Sometimes they talk back to us especially the guys from Charleston. We've had some interesting conversations with the players that are amusing that I'd love to share.
I don't mind cheerleading at half time breaks but not during the game!
when i saw Perth Glory play they only had cheerleaders on at half time and they would be doing dances and stuff like that, but also a small group would walk around the ground with the Glory Gorilla (don't ask ) and handed out prizes like posters, stickers, balls, showbags and other give-aways.
This should be moved to the players lounge

Dude, it's not about porn (the chicks are dressed after all!). It's about distraction for the crowd during the HT. And I don't see what's wrong with importing some good and inofensive ideas to football/soccer.
But you're right: we have our GFs for those kind of stuff too.
