I've actually been considering playing another season, but that's not in the spirit of this thing. I know University has just started guys... that means there should be plenty of free time to continue the rise of Chelmsford. We're on the cusp of Europe!
Heh, it's unfortunate, but inevitable. I assume you're talking about guys like Simon and Vinet. Hopefully you'll be able to ask the maximum for those type of guys. The money gained from transfers and Wallace's money should add up to a massive transfer kit to soften the pain.
Small suggestion: If you indeed have to sell Simon, I remember a young guy from Manchester United called Halford. I think he'd serve as an excellent replacement.

Alright guys, had a chance to get the ball rolling. We have a nice squad, but I felt we needed some players that have been there and done that, whilst at the same time have enough quality to get into the team.
I have gone for a top half finish. We have the players to do it.

Despite the age of some of the guys coming in, I think they still have the quality to make an impact, specifically to see out games and win tighter games.
I haven't decided Vinet's backup yet, but Merida is playing there in pre-season after Vinet got injured.
I have spent a lot on wages, which is a calculated risk.
This team should be aiming to get top 8.

Good news, bad news, and horrendous news my friends.
I lost to Blackburn (a) and Arsenal (h) after conceding goals on the counter. I beat Tottenham (a) 3-1 after altering some tactics. I beat Histon (a) in the League Cup 4-1 after wasting an ungodly amount of chances.
Now for the horrendous news:

To be honest I am in complete disagreement with your transfer policy as I didn't think we needed any of those old relics, but Maicon should be useful and that Turkish defender looks like exactly the kind of player the team needs. 11m VERY well spent. Hopefully Romero is first choice keeper; Hennessy is okay, but the Argentinian is in a class by himself. 15m for Gibson? Ehhhhhh..... Not sure about that one. Anyway, hope it all works out.

That Vinet injury could well be a massive blow to our European aspirations this season.
Come to think of it Vinet is quite injury prone. I believe so far there hasn't a season gone by where he didn't get injured for a long period. But 7 to 8 months is really disastourous. Hope you got some decent cover.

Pablo Castro has come a long way in Chelmsford, though rumours start to grow he may be related to Fidel. Fortunately that doesn't bother the mayor of Chelmsford and his lovely wife.

I certainly think that Gibson is a risk, but I think he will step up in Vinet's absence. He's a type of goalscoring midfielder that doesn't come along that often.
I haven't spent much money at all on veterans really. They have been good so far to be fair. Maicon in particular has looked lively. Romero is my number one. Hennessy is just to add depth.
Don't forget I lost Berbatov and Lampard. I think the oldies will be invaluable at holding onto leads.

I rarely played Lampard and Berbatov except for League Cup matches, but whatever.
Vinet is definitely injury prone. Real shame. He's our captain!
Sean, who do you prefer as striker, Ozdemir or Belfodil? I liked the Turk, but Belfodil seemed a lot more consistent; I noticed Belfodil scored in this game, so just wondering who's first choice.

Belfodil is at the moment. He has scored 5 in 5 so far, and from only 2 starts. Ozdemir will get a chance at some stage though. Bilfodil just picked up Player of the Month.
I have a 2-2 start in the EPL and lie 7th in the table. It's looking up though. Confidence is creeping in, and as the defence gels, I'd expect improvement.

I'm very frustrated at the moment. I think my management is holding the team back. I will stand up and admit my summer signings haven't been good enough. Gibson, Maicon and Ceyhun are the only ones making any kind of an impact.
