It must be great supporting Chelsea, spending so much on players which your own chairman calls 'Lemons'. Not winning anything but 2 trophies in 5 years. I was totally amazed today that more than one english player was on your team.
Your kind make me laugh. You like to slag off other supporters because their club don't win trophies, or they have too many foreigners. Why the hell would I care anyway? I'm American, not English. (this is your cue to insert the myopic and blinkered argument that I shouldn't be supporting Chelsea because I'm not English, yada yada yada)
Supporting a football club should never be about trophies, as you seem to believe. Isn't it about standing behind the lads week in, week out, in good times and bad? All credit to Manure, they've won loads of trophies...we're happy for ya. So don't trot out the tired old "jealousy" thing.
The chairman....well, I don't care much for Uncle Ken.
And your math is a bit off...1997 and 2000 FA Cups, 1998 League Cup, 1998 European Cup Winners Cup, 1998 European Super Cup. The Charity Shield shouldn't count.
Sure a couple of those aren't much to be proud of, but lots of clubs never win ANYTHING. And when you endure frustrating losses to the Watfords and Bradfords of this world when you have gobs more talent on paper, it makes those successes (however modest) that much sweeter.
Don't go judging who's a "real" Chelsea supporter and who isn't, you'll just risk looking like an idiot, which I don't think you are. Every Chelsea supporter I know calls Man Utd the Scum (and you're lucky we capitalize the S, lol), and I'll continue to do so as I please. There's dirty L**ds, who most of us hate worse than your lot. We all just laugh at Sp*rs, because Three Point Lane is like home away from home. Those are our three biggest rivalries of late....Charlton don't even rank, even though they're a London club. Fulham of course because they're our neighbors, but the two haven't been in the same division much in recent memory.
Final point, your starting XI consisted of 5 Englishmen, ours 3. Not much of a difference. The Premiership is as much of a melting pot these days as America is....wake up and smell the coffee, everyone has foreign players.
If people like you were the ultimate authority on who is a "real" supporter of (insert name of club here), then the world would be a dismal place indeed.
LOL
