Well it looks like they certainly have enough backup for Carlo now with Macho and now Ambrosio .
P.S does anyone know how long Bosnich is banned from football for?(I know Chelsea terminated his contract)

Maybe they bought new keepers to substitute Cudicini? That could be a possibility of him leaving and Chelsea are getting a substitute for him ahead.

It was 9months, BUT the ban was back dated, bceause he hasnt played footall since anyway. SO this September he is available to sign again.

A life ban? Get serious, for a start it wasnt performance enhancing, and wihlst it was illegal, soccer is his job. If you're caught taking Cocaine in real life, are you banned from your trade for life?

Finally a lady admitted to spiking it, Bosnich didnt appeal simply because he was worried it may increase his suspension, and he only has to wait until September anyway.

Supposedly Man City and Portsmouth are interested in him, but he's meant ot be interested in quiting soccer alotogether. People will say good, he's a thug etc etc...But really, he was a bloody good keeper, he showed that at Villa, and in the appearance he made for Chelsea before he was injured and lost his place to Cudicini. It will be a loss to soccer if he goes, but if he doesnt it could take him a while to get back to form-which is what is meant to be making him think about quitting. So much time off could mean 9months trying to get back into form.

well i cant see Carlo leaving! hes appears to be happy at Chelsea and now we r in CL! Macho is a superb signing to have, worthy of a lot of 1st teams in the prem! i hant sin Ambrosio play but its another backup

Ambrosio is an ex-Chievo backup who has been a starter recently... IMO a good backup player who if needed can step up but defintately can't take the starting spot from Cudicini

Cudicini will be eligible for British citizenship soon but he'll never play for England.

the bosnich saga has been a real shame. stupid ferguson #$$%$ ruining the career of one of the best keepers at the time

chelsea i guess just wanted a goalkeeper with a smaller salary, which brings me to the question of why they ever got bosnich if they never planned to use him

Chelsea do not have to sell. They may sell Hasselbaink to raise money to buy other players, but they are unlikely to let Carlo Cudicini go. Unless they have somebody lined up already.

Dude, they did plan to use him...

He was the First team keeper for 6 matches in his first year there, and then he was injured, so Cudicini came in...Once Cudicini was in, he played too well to be replaced, so Bosnich never got another crack...
