Is he still employed by Channel Five? He's the resident hanger-on on that channel whenever they show football on the telly. Talks through his arse too, the fud!pede54;2513024 said:Or that could be Pat Nevin, the ex Chelsea favourite who has also opened his big gob to add to the slagging off of Chelsea. This guy is still employed at Chelsea and it seems that good ol' Pat, has many friends in the murky world of football journalism. I hope that the club give him a swift kick in the arse right out of the front door. No club needs ungrateful, big mouth tossers like them.

Sure they had the same amount of days to rest, but I still don't know why they had to chose such an awkward time to play the match. if Chelsea didn't react the way they did, SKY have carte blanche to do it again.
Just because it happens to Chelsea, doesn't mean you should ignore the facts. If people don't support Chelsea doing this, then SKY will do it again and mess with 2 more clubs, and then 2 more clubs etc. If we nip it in the bud now, the clubs can gain a bit more control from SKY and not let themselves be pushed about. It could happen to anyone, and interest of fairness and competitiveness everyone should be on the same page here.

Having a game on Tuesday and then another on Thursday, will undoubtably affect team selection. It would be silly to suggest it wouldn't.
The principle in question here is that Sky should not be determining when games are to be played. There is too much room in there for bias or manipulation. It is simply unethical, and at the very least suspicious. They have definately affected our run in to the end of the season. To suggest they have not, is just stupid.
This precedent will affect all of us sooner or later, so lets see how other fans feel when it's their club is involved on the next occasion.
I think it was admirable of Grant to fu<k with the Sky people. The anger created by them is felt from Roman at the top, to the fans at the bottom, so we all have a right to voice our displeasure.
Ferguson flatly refuses to deal with the BBC. He has refused to deal with them at all for a couple of seasons now. Is that any different from this situation, or are you gonna tell me that Fergie is right and Avram is wrong? You can't have it both ways. The principle in question is identical.

As a fan i would feel totally pissed at them for toying around with the schedule like that. But my point is that the actual Chelsea squad is unaffected by this and their end of season run-in is unaffected by this as well. You can't possibly think that this is any different from the typical Champions League the teams get, just think about it logically not as an angry fan that had to change his plans in order to catch the Goodison Park game, incase you did end up going.
