Milan want him alright. What I'd like to know though, is why have Real Madrid come in for so much stick from every man and his dog, for alledgedly unsettling Ronaldo, but Milan and Jose can do the same thing towards Lampard, but nobody raises an eyebrow? Am I missing something or are we at Chelsea, much more laid back and cooler than everyone else over these issues? It must be the latter :)

Nice to hear that Wayne Bridge today put to bed any rumours of him moving to Portsmouth, after signing a new four-year deal at Chelsea. The left-back will now stay at Stamford Bridge until 2012.

"I'm just happy, I love it here, all the lads, staff, everything, so I'm happy to be here, hopefully for the four years," said Bridge. Good lad.

Drog has been offered a new 4 year contract worth £130,000 a week. Thats an increase of £60,000 a week above what he was getting last season. Kenyon has said he expects Drog to sign, simply because no other club in Europe would offer him as good a deal as that. We shall see.

What was the reason for not playing Robben on the left and moving Cole to the right? I'm just curious because I never thought that Robben would be let go, by you guys ofcourse, so soon.

Chelsea let him go because he wanted Real Madrid more than us. Robbens constant injury problems was the main reason why Chelsea were happy to see him go. He rarely played at all in his last two seasons, and when he did play, he bottled every tackle, fell over too easily and usually got injured again. The fans had enough of him, and I think the club felt the same way, so it was easy to say adios when the time came.

Basically Robben was more of cowardly and fragile version of Cristina Ronaldo, but he is a great player and would've become better if he wasn't such a puss.

That's a real shame....I enjoyed watching him play. He seemed like a perfect fit for Chelsea. That goal he scoerd against Birmingham(?) in 2004-2005(?) is one of the best I've seen.

yeah, i was a bit of a fan of him, one of my favourite players and i kept faith in him even if e was always injured, pissed me arse off more than anything seeing him run with his tail between his legs to Madrid, when he promised to stay.
We've seen greater players go tho, and it didn't take too long for cfc robben fans to move on. :D

Btw, I've also heard that Adriano might be offered plus 12 Mil Quid for Frank, if Frank wants to leave, I don't see this as a bad deal at all, if it is proven to be true, although we don't know whether Inter or Jose are that desperate to have him.

hmm.....this seems plausible. I don't think that Jose is much of a fan of Adriano, but this deal is kinda lopsided on your end because you're getting a hefty transaction fee+ what looks to be a mentally healed Adriano who's in great shape. I'm a huge fan of Frank's, but there are a few out there who are better than an inform Adriano, man. He's also still pretty damn young.

Please make a separation between Inter and Milan, i think both Inter and Milan fans would appreciate it :) , Anyways i hope you keep Lampard, but isn't it going to get a bit crowded with Deco, Ballack, Essien in the middle, how would you play them all (i doubt players like that would like to sit on bench) ?

Break the world record for most expensive trasnfer twice in the same summer by signing Robinho and Kaka? If there's one club out there that can do it, it's Chelsea. I say you guys should just go for it and bring them both in. Don't beat around the bush with offers that are less than what Madrid/Milan are asking....just pay what they want (you know you can afford to) and get the deals done quick.

Nah, I think its just purely speculation done by both clubs to increase the value of their respective players and please the fans by showing that they're willing to keep him. Not sure about Robinho, but Kaka's definitely not leaving.
I don't think both clubs want to sell to be honest. and 100Mil for Kaka and 60Mil for Robinho is just pure Ballacks.

Ballacks.

Hahahahahaha, i almost pissed myself. hahahahaha

Well this should aside from all the statements from Milan and Kaka' clear the issue:

"There was no offer made. I have read the same articles," said Chelsea's CEO Kenyon when pressed on the Kaka rumours.

"They have made it clear that he is not for sale and we will make it clear we have not made an offer.

"There is no reason to negotiate over something they don't want to do and we have not made an offer."

Well, Makelele has completed his move to PSG, a bit sad to see him go but it was probably time we changed our style of playing, we can't depend on Macca forever and it was probably for the best. For once, Macca left feeling appreciated by his club.

Gave his absolute best for us in 200 odd games he's played for us and we wish him luck on his wish to play at his home country again.
Can't forget the day he scored on the rebound penalty against Charlton when we've won the title and his screamer against Spuds.
Brilliant player and had the his name on his position. "The Makelele" role.

When he first came, Claudio hyped him up and he was right, but right now this Chelsea watch needs new batteries to replace its old ones.

Au Revoir and Goodbye, Makelele
Thanks for the titles!!

Sad to see Maka go. I thought he would see his career out with us, but it seems not and thats a shame. He is 35 years old so I guess the end must be pretty close anyway. The guy is unique, a one off, a Legend. It is true that the amount of games he would get this coming season would be limited, but I thought that was what he wanted. Ah well, good luck to Maka. I think he definitely earned himself a lot of love and respect from the fans, and he will be missed. He's been offered a coaching job with Chelsea when he retires from playing, so this aint the last we will see of him. :)

Khalid has been sold to Stuttgart. Didn't work out for him at the club, but good luck to him.

Frank's on the Asian tour, so I would expect that means he will be at least staying with us until the end of this coming season. Maybe he'll sign again, maybe not. We shall have to wait and see.

Pizarro, Ben Haim and Belletti stayed behind pending their expected transfers to clubs as yet unknown.

Drog stayed behind too. The club say that it's his knee playing up again, and he will need 4 weeks of treatment on it. This knee problem he has, re- occured a little too often for my liking last season, and I hope the club doctors sort it out this time. If it gets any worse he won't be any good to us or any other club that might have wanted him.

Petr Cech signs on the dotted line for another 5 years, until 2013. Lovely jubbly(Y)

Same goes for Michael Essien. great to know we have him for another 5 years too.

As if it isn't bad enough having the English gutter press fabricating all kinds of crap about us, now the Italians are doing it too. According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, we made an offer to Milan of 150 million Euros for Kaka. They must be insane to think we would spend that sort of money on a player. Thankfully Kenyon denied making an offer, and Galliani confirmed that an offer from Chelsea has never been made. All media bollox.
