Why Del Horno, why! This guy would have been perfect for Inter's LB spot. Though atleast this ends any interest for Dede.

BTW yeah BlueBalla, I was talking about David Pizarro, Udinese's Chilean playmaker.

Thanks for clearing that up, SB9. And wasnt that LB from Argentina, Burdisso, supposed to be your LB for the future? Or does he only play in the center?

Anyway, just posting a pretty forboding article: Spurs have rejected an offer of players for compensation...apparrently Huth (along with Johno) was offered to shut them up :| Thank god they said no. Chelsea, frankly, deserve what punishment they get from the FA, and I hope its still enough to put a muzzle on Kenyon and this type of nasty behavior.

Well, anyway, the deadline has passed 3 hours ago to resolve the matter. Honestly, the fact that spurs were ready to listen to offers is a bit sad: They shouldve just gone right to the FA to begin with, but as Pede said before, they just look like theyre trying to scam a quick buck or some talent for not tattling. It comes off more as a bribe. Anyway, here it is...

Spurs to 'reject' Chelsea offer

Tottenham will reportedly not accept any players as part of a compensation package for Frank Arnesen's switch to Premiership champions Chelsea.
Chelsea are believed to be ready to offer Robert Huth and Glen Johnson to stop Spurs triggering a Premier League probe for their approach to Arnesen.

Spurs have given Chelsea until 1200 BST on Friday to resolve the dispute.

The deadline was set after Spurs were infuriated at Arnesen being pictured on Blues owner Roman Abramovich's yacht.

Abramovich is reported to have flown to London to try to broker a peace deal.

Carlton Cole and Wayne Bridge were also mentioned as potential bargaining chips but, according to the Press Association, the White Hart Lane club are not prepared to entertain such a deal.

"Having seen the pictures we've contacted Chelsea and set them a deadline," said a Spurs spokeswoman.

"If we don't reach agreement by noon on Friday, we'll make a formal complaint."

Spurs suspended Arnesen on 4 June after claiming Chelsea approached him without consent.

Chelsea, though, have insisted they followed Premier League rules.

The club have a suspended three-point deduction hanging over them after being found guilty of "tapping-up" Arsenal's Ashley Cole.

The two clubs had been in extensive negotiations over a compensation package when it became clear Arnesen was keen to move to Stamford Bridge.

But potential deals, including moves for Chelsea players Scott Parker (now at Newcastle), Mikael Forsell and Carlton Cole, have all fallen through.

Haha Spurs (H)

Why even try? Honestly, you thought Arsenal were bad. Spurs hate for Chelsea makes Arsenal's look like school boy stuff.

You're in for a long road.

Yah, but I hate Arsenal cause theyre good. I know the venom is more verulent with Spurs, but thats all historical. Its like two guys in class are assholes, but you hate the one who has a nice car and is smooth with girls more than the one at the back of the classroom sucking through his retainer :)

No doubt, they will get the FA to put chelsea through hell, and deservedly so. But honestly, something like a transfer ban or a point deduction would honestly be welcomed by many Chelsea folk. The club has gotten too big for its britches (do they still use that one in NC? (H) ) and should be taken down a peg. Ah well, que sera sera, and all that. It gives the silly season a little bit of extra juice.

EDIT: YESSSS

Veron makes permanent move to Inter Milan

MILAN, June 24 (Reuters) - Argentine midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron has signed a two-year deal with Inter Milan, making his move from Chelsea permanent.

Veron spent last season on loan from Chelsea and Inter have agreed terms with the English champions over the transfer -- although no fee has been made public.

"We are very satisfied with how the negotiations with Veron and Chelsea concluded," Inter technical director Marco Branca told the club's website.

"Keeping Veron at Inter was the objective of the club, coach Roberto Mancini and the player himself. He had for some time expressed his wish to continue with us," said Branca.

dunno what the fee was, but this is great news. Veron wasnt bad for Chelsea on his day, but this is one less black cloud of a former player to deal with, and Im happy hes found something good at Inter. Best of luck to Seba!

I know this looks like an NGYC impression, but Ive already edited once, and Bobby didnt come back with the bantering I expected

Anyway, the important thing is a very reliable source off an official Chelsea board has come out with mockups from what he has seen as from the new kit designs. Again: THESE ARE NOT EXACTLY THE NEW KITS. Just renditions of what they will be like from what he has seen. I trust him, and so should you. Afterall, hes yet another Blue from downunder :jap:

Personally Im pretty disappointed. The first one im not so keen on with the gold, but it could be worse. The second is nice, but im pretty sure the FA will investigate for ripping off Man City. Frankly, im a bit sad not to see the white job from the last two seasons there again: I thought that kit was brilliant.

Anyway, he said he wanted input back, so let em have it

No way am I wasting my money on those.

A bit of news...looks like some progress has been made with Spurs considering a new offer from the club despite the deadline passing but to be perfectly honest I'd prefer it if we were reported. This whole "compensation" business with players etc. seems very shady and will undoubtedly (and deservedly) attract criticism from all areas, possibly destroying the club's image to a far greater extent than an FA investigation. The club should just hold their hands up and take whatever punishment the FA decides upon (most possibly a big fine), on the chin.

i think Chelsea should just tell Spurs to take us to the FA.Thank God they didn't take Huth and Johnson. Why dont we offer Kenyon instead?Once we get to the FA hearing,Spurs are gonna look like idiots anyway having held us up to blackmail and then when they didn't get all the money they wanted, then they take us to a hearing.Even if we are found guilty, which is not proven as yet to be the case, the fine we get is always gonna be cheaper than what Spurs want,so i say F.u.c.k 'em.As for the punishment Balla,IF we are found to be at fault, this is one Chelsea supporter who would not like to see a deduction in points.Come on mate, what fan in their right minds would wish that upon their own club for Gods sake. No, IF guilty, fine them again and then Chelsea should give Kenyon the sack and sue him for all the money that he has cost the club.In short, ruin the prick. He is the one who needs taking down a peg or two,not Chelsea.

Yah, Pete your right. Chelsea havent been found guilty of anything yet, and we should wait and see. As for the statement about people wanting a point deduction, i dont think I was in my right mind with that one: A fine will probably be the result, because Spurs have shot themselves in the foot, like you say. I just get so damned frustrated seeing the club constantly under scrutiny, and I just wish this way in which Kenyon apparrently conducts business would end once and for all, as hes dragging the damn club through the mud over and over. But like you and Vazza said, the best idea would have just been to not play ball with Spurs, and get them to report it right away.

Your spot on about Kenyon though: his antics have cost this club enough reputation. Enough is enough.

Thats cool Balla ...we are all embarrased and frustrated by Kenyons behaviour.I just wanna see him kicked out to tell the truth,he is a complete asshole.I hoped Roman might have felt the same too.......... :ewan:

Wow, what a rollercoaster day of Chelsea news. First, Spuds accept a bribe and temporarily spare Kenyon's balls from the bandsaw. Then Veron has supposedly gone to inter, and then hes been loaned for 2 more years :| Thanks again Peter! :nape:

Now, Shaun Wright-Phillips could be a Chelsea boy. 23 years old with pace, skill, finishing, strength and a bright future. Joaquin of course wouldve been nice too, but SWP is Premiership Tested, and obviously price isnt much of an issue. If its true, great news, and im sure he wont mind that potential away uni!

Now, im wondering whats going to happen with the midfield: A midfielder was slated to be bought at the start of the summer. But now that parker is gone, thats two slots to fill, as well as a forward...if im not mistaken. I mean, I know that SWP is a winger and all, but a striker is a must, and I think thats clear to everyone. Since Wright-Phillips came, relatively speaking, outta nowhere, the next few weeks should be pretty fun. Hopefully Kenyon doesnt ruin it too much more!

Im getting to this point too: marketing empire be damned, the guy is absolutely clueless, and this disaster with Inter id wanna say is the last straw. Now, it may be part of a larger agreement for the future regarding Mr. Adriano (ok, its far fetched, but still when someone suggested it, it seemed viable) but it just looks like more boobery. At the same time, Kenyon probably doesnt use the toilet without Roman knowing about it, so I have to think Roman is well aware of whats up. Id think though, that he would get tired of wasting money on fines for silly indescretions

Oh, and Se7en, the guy who gave those to me, CarefreeChris, is pretty damned reliable. I forgot to say, though that the home kit has a gold trim

Rob

Mourinho’s Assistant
The kit would be better if the gold was white IMO. Would look better, however the design is the standard Umbro design for the coming season.

I told several people on MSN how the kit would look ages ago - bar the gold.

That logo will only be used next season right? because frankly it sucks and it ruins the kits even more...oh and if you didn't get my drift I think they suck :(.

The logo is great, it is like the old one.

Anyway, did anyone notice with the EPL fixture that we have to travel away after our first 5 European fixtures?

I'd think that with so much money, Chelsea would have plans for a better stadium (like Bayern Munich and the Allianz), and bought a new striker even if it's for $60 million-their funds are unlimited. Peter Kenyon needs to start making some transfers or Chelsea aren't gonna win Champs League. Gudjonsson is only one player (a really good one though) but he deserves a better partner then Drogba.

The new jersey sponsors I think are Adidas or is that the season after?

Please make that gold thing on the home Jersey coloured white.

treble41

Chelsea should keep Crespo since they haven't yet realized how much money they have and how they really could buy every player in the world buy offering more money then imaginable to the club. Maybe though, Chelsea could offer AC Milan H.Crespo, and the 57 million pounds in exchange for Andriy Schevchenko. If AC Milan say no, then offer them 70 million pounds, no one in their right mind would refuse that.

pede54

Team Captain
well Crespo's wife would rather pose around the shops of Milan than London and seeing as she wears the trousers,Crespo dont wanna be at Chelsea.I for one dont want him at chelsea either,he is just not EPL material.
Stamford Bridge is being expanded, the hotels at one end of the ground will be demolished to make way for a new stand. It would be nice to have a state of the art stadium i suppose, but if it means moving from Fulham road then ,no thanks.
As for Sheva,i dont think he would fit in at Chelsea. He's been in Italy too long now and i think he would be a flop like Crespo.I would have Michael Owen over Sheva any day of the week.

Rob....the FA must have set those fixtures to have a dig at us i think mate.......they want to make life very difficult for Chelsea this coming season.I suppose slimy David Dein has asked them to help Arse out as much as possible. That guy should not be anywhere near the boardroom of the FA or the Premier League, its ridiculous.

Fernandez

The FA favors both sneaky London clubs. We have the hard fixtures, Everton away and Villa home. What are they thinking of? :(
