Essien suffered a knee injury i think when we was playing tottenham in the first leg/match of the FA cup Qtr Final and hasn't featured since......

thanks for the update on essien. It sucks that you lose terry, then he gets fit and gets back to action and then essien gets injured.

they're one of our best players, the 'untouchables' as Mourinho labeled them.....so losing either one of them is blow....well, I just heard Vicente's gonna be out for 5 weeks, tough one but we also just lost Robbie recently so we know how Valencians feel......

Fergie moaning that all of a sudden the fixtures are in OUR favour.

He says it's the Spurs fans that he feels sorry for........Yeah right:boohoo:

After we beat Spurs early tomorrow, we will be 3 points behind Man U. If Pompey manage to win against Man U, then things will stay that way. Even if Pompey draw then Man U will then only be 4 points ahead.

C'mon Portsmouth....Play up Pompey....Pompey play up......:mexican:

Well he knows that if we cut the lead to three points, that the pressure is then on him for the Portsmouth game.

The Portsmouth game is one of their potential banana skins and to enter that game with only a three point lead, is psychologically in our favour.

He knows the title is far from won and his reaction to this is a certain sign that he is very nervous indeed.

Help?

But if you lose to Spurs, who will want a backlash after a crappy Sevilla loss, then we will go into the Pompey game still with a 6 point lead and a chance to go 9 points, which would end any hopes you had about the title. Its not like Tottenham is an easy team for you.

So its really, anything can happen, but i think that we are both pretty sure that both Manchester United and Chelsea will win tomorrow.

Well sure man, anything could happen of course, but Spurs have to play us after less than 2 days rest after the Sevilla game, so the chances are that they will be feeling pretty tired and probably a little demoralised too. I suspect thatr they will not have the energy and drive to offer much against us tommorow. On the other hand though, Pompey will be fresh and ready having had a week to prepare for Man U. So who knows.

Obviously I am looking at this through blue tinted glasses, but I remain optomistic that we will rip this years title from Man U's grasp, and to remain that optomistic I must only look at the positives regarding Chelsea and the negatives regarding Man U. The reverse is true for you of course mate.:)

will essien be fit for this game? i hope drogba continues to score, he's been on a little draught before he scored against Valencia midweek. Tottenham will always be a challenging opponent but im confident we can finish the job, hope Pompey can beat united.

Well for someone who's been in the game for so long, Fergie is one of the biggest hypocrite I've ever come acrossed....feel sorry for the Spurs fan, yeah right,....I bet he'll give in to Spurs' demands to put the game back the 24 hours given he was in our position (:P)......load of rubbish
He said exactly the same thing when we played Tottenham and defended G.Poll when the bloke was on the end of things.........Its just one of his psychological games where he's saying that if u guys would win against spurs becus of dis' and dat'......the FA always side with u guys.....blablablabla
But when the guy does loses he is suprisingly a good loser tho(unlike another manager)..........i respect the guy but his attitude can be annoying at times....

Ballack and Schevchenkonot starting today while Mikel is. I started watching the game after half time so does any one know anything behind the selections Mourinho's made?
Tottenham are pretty easy to score on sometimes for the bigger teams. Carvalho wandered in to take that shot without anyone picking him up in midfield. Spurs would be an awesome team if they had better defenders and midfielders that could play defense as well.

ye Spurs are like 2-3 signings away fro contending Arsenal and Liverpool , they just need to improve on the midfield and defense departments, the strikers are fine with Berbatov and Defoe.

Guess you were spot on. United looked very tired.

BTW, since you guys got the record for most 1-0 wins in the EPL (79), can you give us some tips, we could use it on Tuesday.

A quote from fergie before the Pompey game..........."We have it in our hands now," said the Scot. "We just have to keep our nerve.

What a nice day this turned out to be:mexican:

Ricardo does it again. A goal that Sheva would be proud of. The whole team worked hard today. Our forwards chased back whenever it was needed, Drogba and Kalou in particular chased back and made some game changing challenges to get the ball back.

Good to see Joe Cole back. Still got the ol' magic, and considering his lack of match fitness, looked sharp for the 15 or so minutes he was on the pitch.

Apart from Arjen, our squad is now at full strength again. Our struggles are behind us.

Fergie say's he doesn't think we can win all of our remaining games. I wouldn't want to put money on that.

We have been through our bad patch already this season. We've seen a squad decimated by injury, and we have struggled at times because of it. Man U's squad is now facing some of those injuries too and I feel that they, like we did, will suffer because of it.

Their loss today was not just all about feeling the strain from the Roma game, as Fergie claimed. We too played a CL game midweek but we still managed a win today. I think Man U today may have been unsettled big time by the fact that we won earlier in the day, therefore causing some tension and nervousness throughout their squad. I think that they choked under the pressure perhaps.

All we need is for Man U to draw one of their remaing games. Add that to the three points they will drop at Stamford Bridge, where we have not lost in the league for almost 3 seasons, and the title is ours.

We do not expect to lose any of our remaing games. We are entering the best form of our season right now. Just in time for the run in.:mexican:

C'mon you Blues................:rockman:

i didn't expect Pompey to beat Man Utd to be honest but it happened and it proves that Man Utd are in a bit of a crisis they don't look strong defensively without Vidic and he's out for the season, so keep that in mind that we lost JT back and managed to cope quite well without him(except against L'pool), i doubt Man Utd could the same.......Fergie's mentioned that we were lucky with the remaining fixtures but i reckon we've got it tougher:

West Ham - Away
Newcastle - Away
Bolton - Home
Arsenal - Away
Man Utd - Home
Everton - Home
And add the FA Cup SF and CL QF,potential SF and F to that.....

I see a very tight one against the Hammers since they're fighting in relegation zone, and i hope Arsenal's poor run continues when they face us, as for Newcastle tough one especially at St James park, as for Man Utd, Everton, Bolton, I definitely fancy us to nick those given our record at home against those teams.....

CL:
That said, we have probably have the toughest fixture in CL against Valencia, definitely have to score first and not concede early, if we want to avoid xtra time......

btw, did u guys see the look on Rio's face after that own goal, poor sod....imagine what's going thru his mind right now, probably his own goal is the one that decides the title.....VDS is to blame as well........hehehe tough s.h.i.t fellas.....
