A small tidbit that may warm fervent fans of this most disappointing release.
After defeating Middlesborough, Chelsea players turned to their attention to stiffer competiton and played PES 5. (And if you read between-the-lines, it reveals that striker Carlton Cole was going nuts over the absent home crowd, flagrant cheating and dubious calls made by the referee).
This is what the English paper The Guardian had to say:
"Chelsea minds could turn to the second, annual computer game tournament at Terry's house yesterday. The squad, backroom staff and manager all attended, with the striker Carlton Cole most agitated over the challenge of Pro Evolution Soccer 5. "He was taking vitamins and wanted to go home and get an early night," Terry reported on Saturday. Chelsea are in more confident command at the controls of three-dimensional football."
