Chelsea vs Arsenal

God damn Gooners, all they had to do was hold on for 12+ minutes. They couldn't even last 6 :( oh well, 8 points clear is enough to put the pressure on Chelsea, who i have a feeling will be giving people their A-game over Christmas.

I'll gladly take this result, considering the players we were missing. A win would have been great, but hopefully the results of the past week can be used as a springboard for a strong second half of the season.

Help?

I'll take this result with open arms too. I think a few people are getting carried away with the fact that it was Arsenal who took the lead first and were heading for the win, so a draw came as dissapointment to them. A few minutes before Flamini goal they would have probably been amazingly happy with a draw and now they look at it like its not a great result.

Arsenal for all their absantees took on a strong Chelsea team away from home and got a superb results. Hats off to them, like Wenger said, their problem is small teams, which is what wins titles not big teams. If the league consisted of only Liverpool, United, Chelsea and Arsenal, Arsenal would have been leading probably.

Fantastic game. That was what I hoped to see today (apart from the result of course).

Both teams were amazing and generally it was all played in a good spirit. Lehmann and Drog was just comedy. MOTD made a Laurel and Hardyesque black and white clip of the Jens v Drog pushing and shoving incident. I pissed myself laughing at it. Brilliant stuff.

Alan Wiley had a decent game if maybe an inconsistant one. Kept his cards in his pocket mostly, as usual. Couldn't believe he didn't give us that penalty though. Still, he let things go on both sides I guess so thats that.

Essien goal was sublime, a masterpiece, and we hit the woodwork FOUR friggin' times. Gutting.

Stotty.....I told Jose that you wanted a draw and he agreed to do that. I expect that cheque in the post no later than Tuesday man......... (Y)

The only thing that pissed me off were the SO CALLED Chelsea fans ( Prawn sandwich eating glory hunters), leaving the ground 10 minutes before the end. They got some stick from us as they left, and the Arsenal fans let them have it too. Tickets like gold dust and these wankers don't even stay until the end of the game. They sit through the game like corpses. They dont sing and they do not get exited by it at all. Why the fu<k they come to the Bridge is beyond me. I hate the tossers. Anyone leaving early should be banned for life. :read:

I'm glad you saw that too, at about the 82nd or so minute I think, some fans started leaving. I was like wtf? The game was just starting to heat up and people have the nerve to leave, I couldn't believe it. That being said I see it happening at Old Trafford as well, but usually after we've won the game for sure, but I'd like to think it's to beat the traffic.

"Chelsea should have won", "Arsenal are lucky".

Henry, Toure, Rosicky, Gallas. Our captain, our emotional leader, one of our best goal threats, and our best pure defender.

None played today.

Total: £170.9m (+ Gallas)

Arsenal:
Lehmann (£2m), Eboue (£1.5m), Djourou (£100k), Senderos (£500k), Clichy (£250k), Hleb (£7.5m), Cesc (Gio van Bronkhorst), Flamini (Nominal, said to be £1.5m), Gilberto (£4.5m), van Persie (apx. £5m) [Ljungberg (£3m)], Adebayor (£6.5m)

Arsenal's squad cost about the same as Shevchenko...

You can't buy a soul.

\i totally agree
mourinho's comments yesterday was a proof that he's arrogant and an a**hole
.
he has even said that arsenal and man united are co-working to stop chelsea winning the title...it's not as if 22 players of united n arsenal play against 11 chelsea together.
He has the brains..is a great manager..has a great squad.....but his comments always suck...he has a big mouth.....

Thats Chelski fans for you. I mean their dumb enough to pay 50 pounds for a ticket to watch that paint dry and you even have the nerve to leave 8 to 10 minutes early at 1-1 that says a lot.

My favorite has to be Ca$hley celebrating Essiens goal like he had scored himself. You can tell the money hungry bitch caught feelings of his old fans booing him and he looked like he was about to cry. every judas has his day
