Our defense together with Cafú and Pancaro playing probably has 150+ years if you add up the age of every player. If you put Stam, alongside Dida, Cafu, Maldini and Nesta, it's even more. I mean, when players retire, they're going to mass retire (a lot of player will end up retiring in the same season i think). So we better have some good backup instead of running riots looking for defenders in the future.
