Officially I think you do need maths for medicine though it doesn't make any sense because you'll probably never use it.

The best thing to do is find a local vet and ask if you can do some work for them, like a part-timer for something like an hour each night after school. Then you can say you've had work experience which is always a much higher accolade then qualifications. I would also say, use one of your A levels as something to drop back on. When I chose my A levels, I didn't have any clue what the hell I wanted to do with my life (neither did anyone else I knew), so I took ICT, Media & Econmics because I wanted to go into computing but I could go into pretty much any career track with Economics.

As a general rule, most univeristies want applicants for medicine to offer a combination of Chemistry and one from Biology, Maths (also regarded as a science) or Physics. As well as this they usually want another rigorous subject, which can be another science or something like History, for example. I studied Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Economics at A-level and didn't have any problems being accepted by universities to study medicine.

The London universities usually have ABB as the A2 grade requirement to study medicine but universities like Manchester have AAB as the requirement.

Basically, I would recommend talking to your careers adviser at school and would also suggest taking a look at university prospectuses, for their entry requirements.

If you want to do prgramming you'll have to do Computing then. IT is only about databases and office publishing, beleive me, been there and done it

Payaah, in your school is there a system of choosing a-levels coz in my school its like there rationed, you have to get a recommendation from your teacher based on your work, regardless of your gcse grade

yeah mate, send a few emails off to universities, most of them are only too happy to reply, get as much info as you can before deciding on them. Trust me.
