Good luck to him. He should be back though it is "only" a broken leg. You can recover from that. I believe tearing you knee ligaments is a much more carreer threatening injury.

EDIT: I didn't have a look at that pic Ewan posted. If his bone is really shattered to pieces than it's a lot more serious.
