Just my opinion, but who cares? People are going to do this, it happens, but even if plagiarism didn't exist, it's not like you get a reward or anything, and you'll still be recognised as the original owner in places like this!
If you really cared about the community you'd want them to have the best mods instead of just keeping them for yourself, because in the end it's people like us who still appreciate it!

in the end the takers dont care who the author of the mod is, they just care if they have it.
thats what patents were invented for.
they dont care to remember who the author is, the author doesnt do it for recognition but for the community.
when the community then does what you see above, it leaves a sour taste in the modders mouth.
its a sign of disrespect to the people who keep members coming to sg in the first place, the reason people buy fifa
for the pc, the editing, & then to have it smeared is wrong.
i say to cjd, keep your work for you & your friends.
to be honest these people here arent your friends, they just want you to make their game more realistic.

I know, it would be nice if everybody made a private FIFA 11 mods forum where people could share creations and not just leech. I'm trying to learn stuff as fast as I can and help the community but if there was a place where people could give and take and not just give it would be great.

Well, I'm new to FIFA editing. For 2 years I've been editing PES only for myself. I'm surprised that there're too many thief in the FIFA editing scene. Maybe my suggestion to you is don't release ur work for the community and share it only with ur friends. But, i have another not bad alternative if u still want to share ur work for general community, cooperate with other modders and make ur work exclusive to certain patches.

it took him 2 months, he wasted his time hexing SB's when he shud have been giving his exams and then it takes somebody less than a day to post it on some other site and pass it as his own.

I think that whoever posted this on the site has to be blamed, 'cause he made a mistake. I don't think Master Pi a Gi has the need to steal stuff, he has enough rep already.
The people who run that site make new screenshot, so it would look like it was made by someone of their team...

Here at big forums like sg, evo-web and so on people see how difficult it is to make patches, they appreciate the work and know the names of the heroes.
But at small sites really no one cares about the author. It can be the original author or a thief - users of those sites don't care. they just download, install and enjoy. They won't say thanks neither to the thief, nor to the original author anyway. As well as they won't remember the name.
