I really don't want to offend you but I think you are blind look at my last post where I have commented 'Come on fener you can do it for Turkiye. I suport any Turkish team against the foreigners.'

IMO I can see Fenerbahce qualifying from this group if they can get at least 3 points in their away games, but I am assuming fenerbahce winning all their 3 home games. Lyon shouldn't be a big thread.

Yes, fener has great attacking players to be honest. But still 1-0 is not a great home result to begin this league against Sparta. I wanted to see 3,4-0 against such a team like sparta. Now I am assuming sparta will kill fener 2-0 in their next meeting.

Lyon blew away their 3 points. :kader: what happened.

Fenerbahce 1-0 Sparta Prague: FT Report


ISTANBUL, Sept 15 (Reuters) - A headed goal from Fenerbahce forward Pierre van Hooijdonk earned the Istanbul club a 1-0 win over Sparta Prague in their opening Champions League Group D match on Wednesday.

The victory was a morale boost for the Turkish champions who had lost their previous seven Champions League matches -- a record they shared with Bayer Leverkusen and Spartak Moscow.

Dutch international striker van Hooijdonk put the home side ahead after 16 minutes, powering a well-directed header past diving Sparta goalkeeper Jaromir Blazek.

Fenerbahce had to play the last 20 minutes with 10 players after defender Servet Cetin was sent off for a second yellow card offence after a foul near his own penalty area.
