Just looking through a few old mags the other day and was amazed at some clubs top players actually played for that i either remembered/didnt know.

Heres a few i remember from back in the mid 1990's from watching Italian football on Channel 4 on a Sunday afternoon.

Ruben Sosa - Inter, loved watching the little Uruguayan
Daniel Fonseca- Reminded me of a donkey for some reason
George Weah- had a rating of 95 in fifa 97! He was class though

Some bald guy who played for Lazio, i think his name was Lombardo?(he was on the opening credits of the italian footy show where the guy says "golllllll lazio")
Anyone remember?

Cantona- ohhhhhh the arrogance
Steve Bull - the goal machine

Hmmm what classic players can others think of?

Oh, yes, Attilio Lombardo. I remember when he played for Sampdoria. He then went to Juventus before moving to England and Crystal Palace of all teams! He had a short spell as manager together with Tomas Brolin at Palace...

Does anyone remember that African guy called Abedi Pelé who played for Torino?

More about Italian football in the mid-90s: Lazio with Zdenek Zeman as manager played some wonderful attacking football, though their defence was rather poor. I remember a game between Lazio and Sampdoria which Lazio won 6–3! I think it was during the 1995/96 season. That was also the season when a 17-year-old (?) Gianluigi Buffon made his debut for Parma against Milan.

Asspriliah
Vialli
Ruel Fox
Phillip Albert

Which reminds me of a game between Newcastle and Tottenham some years ago (1997?) which Newcastle won 7–1. :p

By the way, the name of that Colombian player is Asprilla. ;)
