thelordspawn

Starting XI
maradonna even though i think he was the msot overrated player EVER (he is and wasnt that great)

George best
Sukur (the uber one)

thats all i can think off off the top of my head.

StevePitts

Senior Squad
Off the top of my head, and in no particular order:

Pele (Edson Arantes do Nascimento not the cod one that is already there)
Ferenc Puskas
Georgie Best
Gordon Banks
Danny Blanchflower
Johan Cruyff
Stanley Matthews
Michel Platini
Bobby Moore
Jairzinho

(this list is inevitably UK biased, because when I was a lad pretty much the only time you got to see overseas players was in the World Cups)

The most overrated player is pele and he always be. Maradona was much better, but the most complete player of all times was Beckenbauer and then maybe Cruyff.

rofl Pele overrated? you clearly dont know football. the tricks and skills Pele did IN MATCHES on a REGULAR BASIS no one could EVER match. Pele was god.

you clearly dont know anything about Pele.

Maradonna the skills and stuff he used are done ALOT better today.
heres a maradonna video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rW-lK9F6TU&feature=related
all he does is tap the ball slightly in the opposite direction that's pretty much how he got most of his goals. if he tried that today he probably wouldn't of scored a single goal.

Pele

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vy2LI6y5rDI&feature=related

need i say more? maradonna is **** compared to pele. maradonna or anyone for that fact can't do what Pele did.

so most people would agree on maradona n pele..these two are considere the top two soccer players ever..but wad abt others?most people would have strikers as their top players but wad abt defenders or keepers?dey do all d dirty work n it just doesn't seem right to me tat dey arent getting credit for it..omg beckham n shevchenko are in???!!!!sorry if i am a liverpool supporter..i hate shevchenko to the core..

Of course i know about soccer and a lot more than you, you little cun t. Pele played during an age where soccer world had not so much competition so he could easily outsmart any rival with his cheap tricks. Unlike Beckenbauer and Maradona who always competed against the best of the world and won. Besides its not the tricks and fancy moves that makes you a great player, but your strategies, courage and teamwork. Brazil NEVER had teamwork and base all their play in circus-like moves around the field ineffective before real teams and their stars are only that, selfish individualists who cant make one single teamwork move.

And if you know a lot about pele as you say, you should know that his best trick in all his career didnt even end up in a goal because he missed with no keeper!! hahaha there you have your "god".

ON TOPIC
would be a good idea to make three teams by decades
say 60/70, 80/90, 2000 or maybe 50/60, 70/80, 90/2000

Fairly inevitably, perhaps, that list (and to a lesser extent the other one that was posted) are hugely biased towards the last third of the twentieth century.
