Yes, there are football fans in NA. But a majority of them do not support the MLS teams. KONAMI release MLS ExtraTime 2003 for the XBOX and Gamecube and it only sold around 15000 units. That's pretty pathetic. The sells figure was so sad that they cancel the PS2 version. If WE6I cannot sell more than 15000, forgot about We7I coming to the States.
I dont know how that has nothing to do with my quote.. but anyway...
the problem with mls extratime is that it was based on an outdated engine, I believe the one for ps2 was based on winning eleven 4 according to the credits.. and it only had 12 teams.. so it did get boring very easyli and it didnt get much publicity anyway... I had it for xbox and it was fun, but it was too easy.. you could do the same play over and over.. kind of like fifa really... but with 12 teams with not very good graphics.. and not many gameplay modes..

i think we will all be happy this year with new FIFA 2004. because EA focused on GAMEPLAY finaly, not just builiding graphics!!! www.fifa2003.ea.com take a look what EA said in LIVE CHAT from E3 Los Angeles Cheers Mates

Well yeah the game animations look the same, I even think ISS2 on psx anim looks the same as WE for some reason, but at least they are fixing their gameplay bugs.

I doubt at that very much.
EA are saying it over and over, and we havn't seen ANY
improvement of the gameplay in their previous games.
we just need to wait for the final version of the demo
to see the actual game, and not be fooled by rumors.
