Cm 01/02 Work Permit Trouble

I am trying to sign a player that has 14 caps and 4 goals. He's on the current NT but doesn't start. He has more than 10 caps but I can't sign him. What gives?

There are so many reason why this could be happening. What country is the player from would help out a great deal. Also, depending on when the caps are from, he may not be eligible for a work permit.

I am trying to sign Maciej Zurawski. However, at the begging of the season I was able to sign Tomashchek and he had 15 caps and wan't even on the NT anymore. I only have 2 foreigners on the team.

If your playing English league your always going to have problems with work permits. The only thing I can think of is that he doesn't play enough for his club team

He's the captain of his club team, I tried to sign him several times, but they wouldn't grant a permit. I guess that means I can't sign him.

I mean that it seems much harder to get work permits for young players even if they are capped or regular first team players for their respective clubs. I couldn't get Maxim until 2007/2008 in my current game for example, dispite him being a regular at PSV and for Belarus.

On the subject, it also seems that in each game certain countries are selected for easier/harder work permits. For example, in my old Plymouth game getting Nigerians was a huge problem, whilst getting players from Belarus was relatively easy in so far as the whole work permit thing went. In my current Liverpool game the roles have been reversed. With Maxim, well I just kept on scouting him and finally I got a 'no trouble attaining a work permit if required' instead of 'may have trouble..' message. happy, happy, joy, joy! :)
