CM09 Kits problem

Hey all. Sometimes when I import kits using CM09 my Fifa09 crashes on start up. If i delete the recently imported kit it it works again!

Does anyone else have this problem and if so is there a way to fix it? Am I doing something wrong?

Do you have CM09 set to import graphic files to "automatic zdata" instead of to ''zdata 49' (I think)? It should ideally be set to the automatic option, so that new kits imported for a club would overwrite the original instead of being duplicated in another zdata file - creating obvious errors. Another thing to consider is that if it is set to zdata 49 and every graphic file you have tried to import has been going there, the size of the zdata may have exceeded the capacity of 500 files which is the maximum recommended size of a zdata for a stable game. I hope these tips were able to help. You may also want to note that it sometimes takes more than 4 hours to get a response to a posted query, so while I understand your impatience, it doesn't help to reply to your own query in such a relatively short time with a hopeful "Anyone? "

Thanks very much Keegan, I apologise for my impatience.

I've ended up completely re-installing Fifa 09 and all the patches/utilities etc. I was just wondering though, is it possible to use CM09 on a clean isntall of Fifa with the rosters already up to date as they are on Fifa itself?

CM09 just reads/changes what it sees in the Fifa 09 folder. You shouldn't have a problem, but if you do, say what problem you have and I'll try to help.

I'll try and explain

I've installed Fifa 09 including the 2 patches and roster update. But when I load up CM09 none of the roster changes have taken place. So Robbie Keane is still at Liverpool for example. So if I start making roster changes I end up having to manually do all the transfers myself as it seems to overwrite Fifa's ingame transfers.

Is there something i'm maybe doing wrong? Thanks for your help in advance

You may want to delete your .../My Documents/Fifa 09 folder as this may have team settings saved that over-ride the database. You may have changed a team setting ingame and that would over-ride anything you do in CM09.
