Finished in 2nd place at Bundesliga with HSV. Considering i got the club with 1 win, 4 draws and 5 losses nearing the bottom of the table i think i've done a good job.

Also won the German Cup, 3-0 against Bremen, Romeo, Kakalov and Partridge scoring the goals. Now i'll be making some new signings. Already confirmed for July are Brighi for free, Cudicini for free and Diego (Internacional) for 11.5 million Euros.

Now i'll have someone consistent at the DMC spot. Wicky is kinda decent but he lacks tackling and strength.

btw, Le Tallec had an unprotected contract. Compensation is only £2,500,000 and a £15,000p/w contract. What a bargain. Too abd he is second choice.

Why do some players have unprotected contracts even when they have 2 or 3 years left? Also, if you try to sign a player on a free (like offer him a contract in Jan of the year it expires) who come someimes they are free and sometimes you have to pay compensation? Once I had to pay £2M compensation to Man Utd on a player who was on a month to month contract as his had expired :confused:

acontract can become unprotected by either having less than 6 months remaining on the current deal or having been on the current deal for more than a set number of years, i think its more tha three years when the player is under 28 and two years when over. The game also classifies youth contracts as unprotected.
