cnbc - most valuable sports franchises

Jedi Mind Trick

Starting XI
1. real madrid
2. manchester united
5. juventus
8. bayern munich
11. ac milan

this was just on cnbc. they had a segment on the world's most valuable sports franchises. keep in mind, when they say "valuable" they're talking about revenues and profits.

i'm sure they will. i watch cnbc everyday, and it's just like any other news stations...they show the same segments all day.

damn, i can't remember what other teams were on...i was studying while it was on. i know they had the washington redskins at 3 (surprising) and the yankees at 4 i think.

it was weird. you don't expect to hear about soccer on sportscenter, but CNBC?! they were talking about world soccer's changing, chelsea and the roman/russian takeover, beckham's transfer, why real madrid is so popular b/c of the likes of ronaldo, zidane...pretty cool i thought.

Madrid are in debt, how are they able to be most valuable? Are they stupid? Or just the average American...

Before I get flamed note that I said average, and on average, most Americans don't follow soccer.

Probably this is only about shirt revenues and marketing. Not the club itself.

With Beckham signing Madrid gained much popularity in Asia.

Can this information be found in the web? I've look for "cnbc.com" and I got redirected to msn moneycentral :f***:

just curious how this study has been made.

I can't believe the results unless it only considers some shirt sales and marketing points.

Madrid it's a financial bomb that only owns great players and the stadium where they play.

Well i would love to be in debt like Madrid is in debt. You know, spending multi millions on players they want every transfer period. That kind of debt sounds lovely.

i wish i could tell you what they were basing it off of. if i remember correctly, they were showing numbers for profit and revenue. i guess i should have stopped studying and paid attention huh...

but it wasn't an american. the anchor was american, but the man that was giving off the list was british.
