Boise and TCU went out and laid the wood to a couple of Big 12 equals yesterday.

Hawaii would beat Colorado, BYU did beat Oklahoma.

1. Florida
2. Boise
3. TCU
4. Alabama
5. Iowa
6. Cincy
7. Texas

Looks good!

All I know is that the way the BCS is constituted, I think Notre Dame is going to take away a BCS spot from either TCU or Boise (probably Boise, at this point if they both run the table, I think TCU should get the bid). That's a joke.

What's even more crazy is that as bad as I think Notre Dame is, Jimmy Clausen has to be the Heisman front runner right now. No one else deserves it. Even Mark Ingram is on pace for such "gaudy" rushing stats of 1500 yards and 12 TDs. What a pathetic year. If Jaquizz Rodgers starts putting up a few 200 yard games, he's the only guy I can see even getting into the equation.

With Michael Crabtree making his debut, I was lookign through the 49ers lineup. One name stood out: Michael Robinson. He went to Penn State and won the 2005-06 Orange Bowl and (I think) Big 10 player of the year that season. He left Penn State as the 5th leading(again, I think) passer. Wanna guess what position he's playing in San Francisco??? No, it's not QB.......he's the backup fullback and has played a grand total of ZERO snaps in 2009.

When you think back to some of the farcical jokes that SF has had since Jeff Garcia left, its really disappointing that they didn't at least give him a try at QB....I mean , Ken Dorsey[crowned 2001-02 national champion at Pasadena 45-19(if I remember correctly) over Nebraska, currently high school QB coach] and Alex Smith hardly got the job done. I remember hilites of 2005 Penn St games almost ALWAYS involving the QB. Very disappointing that he's amounted to what he has, in the pros.....

Anyways, rather boring weekend....interesting how ABC stuck with Penn St. distancing itself from a sloppy Michigan team in cold rainy Big 10 weather instead of switching to the shootout between Clemson and Miami WHILE, during the night game, they switched from Texas distancing itself from a sloppy/inept Mizzouri team in good weather in favor of the West coast USC-Oregon State game.....which also turned out to be a shootout.

The big losers of the weekend...the Big XII North. Colorado followed an upset of Kansas with an egg against Kansas State??? And Nebraska had more turnovers than points against ..........IOWA State.....HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Next week's game, at Stillwater, will decide Texas' season. Ok State is on a mission to prove that they are more than a one man team where that one man's name is Dez Bryant. Zac Robinson can throw and last year's game in Austin should have been win by the Cowboys.....they had multiple drives, late in the 4th Qtr, to win......but couldn't convert. Trick or treat?

One of the best games of the week was the Thu night game where FSU and UNC combined to score nearly twice as many points in the 2nd half (FSU 27 - UNC 10) as they did in the first half (UNC 17 - FSU 3). If only Florida State had a running game. What a furious comeback that was. Thoroughly enjoyable 2nd half. Every time Florida State touched the ball, they had to score to pull back a 3 score deficit.....and they did. Very exciting! To quote that famous guy from Carolina(no, not Bobby.....yet anyways): "WOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"

You're in Toronto right? That's gotta be the Michigan viewing area. If you were in Wyoming, I'm sure you would have got Clemson vs. Miami.

If TCU does not make a BCS bowl, it's not the computers that will cost them but the humans. The computers have them 4th....it's the Harris that is giving them the shaft. Boise State is being dumped on by both the humans and the computers but are still only one spot behind TCU. It's going to tough for either of them to slip out of the top 8 by season's end. The only team that can really challenge at most one of them is Penn State, who need to beat Ohio State and hope that Iowa wins out....and even that might not be enough depending on what happens in the Pitt/Cin game.

There's no way that a 3 loss Notre Dame(3rd loss @Pitt.) reaches a BCS bowl.

There's a BCS exception for "independent" teams. I think ND only needs to get up to #12 to get in the BCS. And you better believe the Sugar Bowl (or whatever) will take Notre Dame ahead of Boise.

Yep, that's the one:

Cheektowaga, Tonawanda, Chautauqua....love listening to those names on the news.

There is an Angola in southern Louisiana...many people will know about it because of the prison.....BUT there is also an Angola in western New York, just south of Buffalo.

I'm usually stuck with a Big Ten game, regardless of how competitive it is. Luckily they rotate 3 games between ESPN, ESPN2, and ABC now. They finally figured out that we want the option of seeing the Big Ten game, the Pac 10 game, or the Big East game.

Very disappointing how Virginia Tech's season has gotten so bad. To lose at home, when your home is one of the loudest and most intimidating stadiums in the country, to a 3(conference)-loss opponent is just unacceptable.

Nothing too surprising this weekend....

Only real upset was Oregon beating USC. So I guess that the question is whether Oregon can move up to #4 and the answer is yes......for now. An undefeated Iowa and Cincinnati will be higher(3rd and 4th) followed by a one-loss Alabama/Fla and possibly even an undefeated TCU/Boise State. Oregon may rise to 4th now, but they could fall to 6th or 7th.....even if they don't lose any more games.

Anyways.....Florida-Georgia....................

I was quite surprised with our defeat of Michigan. Our players for a long time seemed to have no confidence left in their abilities.

The Legend
For all the **** Boise gets about playing a weak schedule, Oregon looks like they'll win the second best conference in college football. Boise beat Oregon. Oregon also had Blount for the Boise game, he's been suspended for all the others.

People say the refs are giving Florida the title, but they went out and put the wood to Georgia.

Interesting Statistic #1: Iowa's QB throws 5 interceptions........but the Hawkeyes STILL find a way to win. Showdown coming up in 2 weeks @Ohio State will determine their season.

Interesting Statistic #2: USC has not won a game in the state Oregon in the last 4 years! Ha!

Inexperienced and awful on defense. No wonder Greg Robinson has kept changing bouncing around from team to team....his defense is pretty damn ass awful.

God, the Florida fans were insufferable. I kept saying "I'm neutral about the teams, I just hate Tebow" and then Tebow went out there and played an amazing game. Horrible day to be wearing a "Tea Bag Tebow" shirt in Carlos*sonville.

Here we go:

Indiana coach Bill Lynch has contacted Big Ten officials about a touchdown that was overturned on replay during Saturday's loss at Iowa.

On the play, the official closest to Terrance Turner ruled that the Indiana receiver had a foot down before going out of bounds. The replay review reversed the call, forcing Indiana to try a 28-yard field goal that would have extended the Hoosiers' 24-14 lead.

Nick Freeland missed the kick and Iowa rallied for a 42-24 victory.

Indiana has been screwed on multiple occasions this seasons. First to keep Michigan unbeaten and now to keep Iowa unbeaten.

Disappointment of the weekend = Penn State who are now 0-2 in their only 2 tough games of the season....both of which were home games no less! Last season there was a three way tie at the top of the Big-XII. Well, this season, there will be a FOUR way tie at the top of the Big Ten.....

1. Ohio State(pleasse, spare me)
2. Iowa
T3. Wisconsin/Penn State

All four teams will have 2 losses and there is a realistic possibility of a USC-Ohio State rematch in the Rose Bowl. It'll be home and away....USC wins in Columbus, now Ohio State gets a shot at the Trojans in Southern Californ-eye-eh!

Somehow, Illinois has come to life and after a shootout/survival in Cincinnati(47-45 over UConn), those Bearcat fans should be feeling pretty damn ass nervous with Illinois, Pitt, and WV still to come.

Notre Dame's BCS bid is over....a 4th loss is looming at Pittsburgh. If Uconn replicates their Cin. performance, they could go to South Bend in 2 weeks and win....5 ND losses would be great.

The 2 biggest surprises were Oregon losing at Stanford.....letdown game I guess and Oklahoma laying an absolute egg against Nebraska.

The BCS folks have to start getting nervous. This weekend revealed that their security blanket(an undefeated BCS conference champion, if Texas loses) is not as strong as they thought....
- Iowa lost and that leaves only Cin.
- Cin. looks like they could lose one of the remaining 3 (all very tough) games
- Texas has struggled against Kansas State, in recent times
If, somehow, both of them lose 1 of the remaining games then Boise State and TCU enter the BCS national title picture.....competing against a bunch of 1 and 2 loss BCS conference champions.

The Indiana curse.

Indiana was "robbed" against Michigan. The next week, Michigan lost their first game of the season.

Indiana was "robbed" against Iowa. The next week, Iowa lost their first game of the season.

Purdue's coach, Danny Hope, has no class. You've won the game and YET you decide to rub it in your opponent's face:

Apparently when Rodriguez and the Purdue coach met to shake hands, the Boiler coach brought LG Zach Reckman along with him to meet RR. Why? Reckman was suspended by the Big Ten the week after the Jonas Mouton suspension and Hope blames Rodriguez for the whole thing. Hope wanted to put it in his face, officially dropping a match on the snake oil feud which had seemingly died.

5:02 is where the details are revealed:
http://mvictors.com/?p=5434

Anyways, you can't blame the coach for inexperienced players making mistakes. He's just begun "installing" his system.....there are bound to be "compatibility issues" at this early stage in the process. Miami went through it (playing with an inexperienced lineup) for a few years, Notre Dame went through it for the last 2 seasons and now Michigan is going through it....for the second season. Apparently, Lloyd Carr is being tipped to take over for Bill Martin as the Michigan athletic director at the end of next season(?) and the rumor is that he will get rid of Rodriguez if Michigan doesn't go to a BCS bowl. Honestly, this is like Notre Dame.....just with different colors.

Prediction for BCS top 8:
1. Florida
2. Alabama
3, Texas
4. Cincinnati
5. TCU
6. Boise State
7. Georgia Tech
8. Ohio State

1) That's stupid, why the hell would you give Rich Rod another year to ruin this team. That's not just another mediocre season, but that's ANOTHER year of recruiting his ****ty players.

2) Aww, poor Indiana. They had a shot at a big win over Wisconsin, and instead they gave up 294 rushing yards. And it would have been more if John Clay hadn't gone out with a concussion at like halftime.
