Comedic Duos

O-car

Starting XI
I was watching a movie tonight called Another You. It starred Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor, and it got me thinking, do we have any of these quality comedic duos these days? We've had quite a few in film history, Laurel and Hardy, Farley and Spade could have made loads more had Farley not OD'd. Comedians used to team up well from SNL back in the day, which isn't happening a lot these days since the current cast of the show reeks.

I started thinking about this whole thing mainly because a) I was bored, and b) I'm a bit tipsy. What is your favorite comedic duo and is there any team like that active today? Seems unfair if there aren't any. It's like losing John Belushi and getting stuck with Jim

Lee Stewart and.................................................Lee Stewart?

But to seriously answer your question, I was thinking about Larry David and Jeff Garlin from "Curb Your Enthusiasm".

Lee Stewart and Lee Stewart's stomach

Actually, Lee Stewart and Rob would make an amazing show.

Anyway, the best comedy duo ever:

Yup both of them are in Blackadder.

Stephen Fry (on the right) plays Melchet in Series' 2 and 4 and Wellington in Series 3. Hugh Laurie (on the left) plays George in series 4, Prince George in series 3 and Prince Ludwig in Series 2.

They also performed together in a long running comedy sketch show called A Bit of Fry and Laurie.

Hugh Laurie now stars in House MD and has had roles in mediocre films such as Maybe Baby, while Stephen Fry hosts an excellent comedy panel show called QI and also does a large number of Sitcoms, Films (most recently V for Vendetta and A Cock and Bull Story) and TV dramas (most recently Tom Brown's Schooldays and Kingdom).
