I have "heard" that PES5 does not allow ip to ip connections ala WE8I/PES4 and instead has a matchmaking service ala battlenet and validates CD keys (therefore making warez versions unable to play online). Anyone else "heard" about this? MY thoughts... I cant BELIEVE they dont allow ip to ip... such bull****. If I was to pay for PES5 and I couldnt do ip to ip, then I would be VERY upset. Since I live in the USA, I would not want to buy PES5 and have to use a matchmaking service based in the UK. IMHO Konami has kinda ****ed us over by not at least giving us the option of ip to ip or using their matchmaking service. ******* bitches.

OR I could be totally wrong about this... Your thoughts? :jambo:

When u start playing someone i think there is a direct connection between both of you, without servers. The only thing is that u must contact people through a lobby, which u must have a valid CD-key to enter into.

I know, thats what I am saying exactly. Obvoiusly PES5 uses a Peer to Peer model for online games just like pes4/we8i. My point is that you should not be forced to use a Matchmaking or "Lobby" if you dont want too. If I know the IP of the person I am playing, I dont wanna have to use some stupid lobby. Living in the USA means that I would have to use a "Lobby" full of UK players, which I find very unappealing indeed. We worked really hard without Konami's help to form a strong USA community for PES4/WE8I and I dont really need their help now thank you. :nape:

BTW - Why do I have to wait so damn long for WE9I... **** Konami ... as if I am going to wanna give them my money... laughable :funny: :-puke:

:nape: I just read thru some other posts... It actually switches host/client at half time?!?! OMG that sounds SOO retarded. As we all know, you get used to the lag of a client game as you go along and to switch it at halftime will make games disjointed. What... we cant decide on our own when to client and when to host??? Konami always finds the most retarded ways to address problems... God forbid they went with a dedicated server approach instead of this halftime host/client bs for P2P games. Its so weird its hard to believe. :nape: :rolleyes:

Can you please stop whining? :boohoo: Wait untill its out and we tested it long enough to make a verdict. Beta-testers said the online was much better with almost no lag on client side. So just be patient and we will how it will be.

Hey, you dont seem to realize what I am complaining about. I am talking about certain design issues, not the performance of the game during actual play. Lag is like gravity, a simple fact of life. I am not concerned with it in PES5 anymore or anyless than I am with PES4/WE8I. As far as the whining, I am not whining, simply stating my opinions about new "features" ... so STFU. :jambo:

Its the same sh@it as direct IP to IP. You just dont have to write down the IP, just go there and select your USA friends

Think long and hard about why I would not want to use a matchmaking service based in the UK... could it possibly be the high pings? Hmm? maybe... Secondly, I have found pes4launcher more effective and user friendly than any garbage konami is gonna try and force upon us. Finally, what is the point of pretending that my main problem isnt that I intend not to pay for this game? Shiiit man... get a clue.

I remeber people complaing, konami not having a lobby in pes4. Now they have a lobby and people already start complaining.
And you can choose your friends in the list, so why the need for direct ip? Maybe there is a friends list aslo.
You say you dont want high pings, well than choose people from your country. People use tags in their name, so they are not hard to find.
And in pes4launcher for pes4 there were hardly any amricans in the rooms, most of them play we8i anyway. So when that version comes, you will have enough americans to play with, just be patient :fool:

Only thing that suck i think is the switch between client and host at half time, well if there is no lag it wont be a biggy.

ps pes5 is for europe, and europe is not only uk...... :fool:

what i think is that the lobby just check whether we do have a "valid" cd key or not and i dun think it checked whether our cd key has been used by other ppl or not... i have no clue also as i am buying the game online and they havent ship it yet... i am trying to dl the game as well and use the "cd key" to try playing online and i will update u guys

??? Ping is not essential in a chat, but in the game.

pes4launcher is made by a friend of mine and he doesnt know if he can continue to make a launcher for PES5 due to the fact that IP to IP isnt there... he's working on something, but at the moment there will be no launcher. :/

to the lan question... our guys did some researching and konami have said that YOU cannoit create software, or anything that affects the games online play. i.e. you cant create a new peslauncher so hhat people can use that instead of the lobby konami have supplied. If we do, they threaten legal action. So I really really doubt the'll be a pes5launcher.

I smell someone just doesn't want to buy PES5.......and am thinking of getting it via other means and being afraid that without a valid cd key it won't allow him to enter the lobby system :nape:
