they weren't designed to allow people to play pirated copies, but they let people play with them! damn...
konami wants to sell games, can you guys understand that??? even that that's not in favour of your interests?? (not bying the game being your interests).

So, konami this year makes it as easy as peslauncher... it doesnt screw the community at all!! everybody can go in the konamy lobby and do exactly the same they did in peslauncher! just not play pirated copies...

Everyone's getting a bit hung up on the pirate thing. None of the online launchers were ever designed to allow people to play pirate copies of Pes4 or We8i, they were designed to allow people to play each other online in an easier way than Konami had made possible and from this, communities have grown which will now have to work a lot harder than before to stay communities due to the mass meet up lobbies that Konami have employed.

lolol
if you spent 12 hours a day designing games you would like to sell them and make as much money as possible from them and not see 80% of the users plaiyng it for FREE

Japs have always been like that... I think after Konami's 10+ years neglec of the community, it's time for us to give up and become reconciled with the fact that all that the industry cares about now is money.

i agree with u totally... all these bashing of pes5 lobby is ridiculous...
just buy the damn game and also force ur friends to buy the game
also if u buy the game with ur friends copy... u guys can share the shipping cost to US (i do this and 2 of my other friends) and the cost overall is not that expensive :D

again i want to emphasize that this is a great game and it's worth your money to buy this game and not like u are forced to buy fifa 2006 which is a crappy game compared to this... or some other unknown crappy online games man...
this is pes5... great game... worth ur money... totally

Something similar with this happend on Fifa 2004 , when LAN Play was not available . At that time , lots of angry people signed a petition online to make stupids from EA to release a patch for LAN Play.

I want to buy the original game but I want to play LAN games with my mates , not ONLINE games !

Let's sign a petition and send it to Konami.

well people saying the community will screw up are talking $h1t
Because i just went online and already in the german rooms there were about 500-600 people online. And i didnt even take a look at the french/italian/english rooms.
With pes4launcher there were on avarage 300 people online.
With the lobby of konami everybody knows how to play online. Even the avarage joe who cant be arsed to find out about pes4launcher for example.

Please stop getting hung up on the whole pirate issue, it isn't relevant to the fact that they have removed the LAN capability. I shall paste exactly what I wrote regarding this: "They could have left the function in the game, but only allowed it to be accessed AFTER verifying that the copy of the game you are using is authentic."

I totally agree with you, I'm sure that the community as a whole will benefit as the number of occassional/casual PES players will have to do far less work in order to play online, but I don't believe that people were talking about the PES community as a whole, they were talking about the smaller more 'hardcore' sub-communities that have been built based on local areas.

From the screenshots of the PES5 lobby that I have seen, there are only a handful of rooms available with no way of creating your own. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I also believe that the Italian and Spanish PES communities have been banded together within the same room... not exactly ideal for either community. I know that Konami can do no right in the eyes of many people, but I'm simply disappointed that they've turned it into "Konami's way (inferior for many people who would benefit from secure post-authentication LAN capabilities) or no way at all".

I feel that I need to re-iterate the point (before someone jumps down my throat and calls me a pirate  ) that there is absolutely NO reason why LAN capabilities couldn't have been accessible AFTER your game had been verified as authentic by the Konami servers.

You spend the whole part of a year supporting a game that people love (and use), because of pathetic net support and you get branded a pirate. Lovely guys, lovely.

I myself have a large UK Ladder going only to find out that Konami don't want that. I suppose that explains why they never endorsed us?

Big brother time

i think leaving LAN capabilities out is dumb too, but my arguments are for the peslaunchers whinners, not for you... damn

Who said you were talking to me?

Well... the fact that you quoted me in post #40 indicated that you were talking to me, and so I replied...

Your 'arguments' have been blown out of the water... I don't think it's getting through to you though...

Removing direct IP/LAN capabilities have nothing to do with preventing pirate copies, Konami could have quite simply made those features accessible only AFTER CD key verification if that is what they were trying to prevent.

Your initial response is to accuse people of wanting to rip Konami off simply because they want that feature made available - absolute nonsense for 90% of the people who rely on that feature, and a total generalization on your part. Direct IP is an enormous feature in a multiplayer game such as Pro Evo and it's shocking that Konami have overlooked it.

Perhaps I should have made it clearer by using multiple @@@@'s and ****'s, it seems to be the order of the day here. Still, you know what they say... empty vessels and all that...

Well, in post #40 i quoted you talking about PESLAUNCHER, not about the ingame feature for IP to IP!!!!
If you start changing your arguments to other things, thats not my fault.
My arguments havent been blown ot of the water cause my only argument is that "the konami thing does exactly what peslauncher did"
Now you change the subject for ingame IP to IP... wanna win the argument? go ahead man, whatever suits you... but this is not true:

People werent talking about IP to IP ingame, they were whinning about peslauncher... and thats at what i respond to, mkay?
So dont fabricate what didnt happen.
You got it right...empty vessels and all that...
