Any1 got any informations about the commentary in Fifa 2004?
This feature did always improved for every editions..hope the commentary will carry on it's good present...

1 think I dun like is dat, when a player is in a great dangerous position to score a goal, the commentator doesn't talk in exciting mood,,, but whenever sometimes player bluntly shoot to the goalmouth with no real chance of scoring, the commentator scream their lung out,,,

amen to this thread! this is one big thing the gamers and Ea staff are missing!! i play NBA live2003, and the commentary makes u wanna play all day and night!

for God sake, soccer is the best fdamn and diversied game in the world, and it needs a superb commentart. maybe the Ea staff need to change the commentators, add more people to talk, maybe put an option for spanish commentator too. the commentators have to talk about most of the things happening, talk about more players, the teams as a whole, how teams qualify, talk about previous matches or 1st leg... basically keeping the game alive and realistic as possible

If you trade Okocha (or any of ya favrite playas) to a new club ,ex chelsea; i expect to hear the commentators talking about it. and i expect them, during a 2nd leg game' to give some infos about the 1st leg game... commentary is very important!! you get more fans hooked thru this!

last I heard is that this year they recorded whole matches from the commentators.. instead of having them read lines..

Let the commentators say more info about the game and a half-time report:mrpimp:

a half-time report would be great but tough it would need too much AI.

but maybe they could get the commentators to say the stats of the first half and also at the end of the game. that would be good

the career mode is gonna need a bit of commentary, telling us what has been going on, etc, with stats of players, transfers, etc

Yes, what EA have done is being listening to both commentators and finding their patterns in the way they talk, what they talk about and how they do it in a chatty way, and then EA will try to present this to us in FIFA 2004, to make natural, flowing commentary. :)

i dont wanna hear commentator says"goooooooaaaaal del piero makes a goal in the same place, style, the keeper just reacting the same actions too....how scripted is it.." the other one says"there it is.."

comentators should be much more realistic. instead of saying. "yes, thats a yellow card. he should know now that he cant tacle from the side like that." in a calm sarcastic voice. maybe say. "the referee is reaching for his pocket... and its a booking. outrageous tackle to say the least." in a more suspencious voice (i may me crap, im not a comentator!). and in season mode, they might want to include happenings from another match like. "arsenal have made it even harder for them now by incresing the gap to the top with a win earlir today" or maybe mention new player like "van nistelrooy makes his debut for slough town today after signing a deal last week"

This is a very important part of the game they need to get the blend right between colour commentary and play by play. One commentator usually commentates on what is happening, and the other may give disription and go into more detail about great goals, bad performances, possible change of tactics etc.

For me if i go on a counter attack and i hear the anticipation in the voice of the commentator and hear the right fan reaction it would be great. Im sure it is difficult though

Are you from Slough? I can see it now, "Van Nistelrooy steps out in the horrid yellow and blue of the mighty Slough Town. The Wexham Park crowd erupt with joy, but wait a minute, the Slough Town lease has expired, they have nowhere to play. This is a real tragedy"

I'm supposed to play for them next season :(
