Commentary Names

Has anybody heard John Motson say either Drogba's name or Reyes??

For what they charge for the game, you would have thought they could do a couple of callnames for these high profile players

Think there being a bit lazy on the commentary side

Let me know if you have heard them?

He wouldn't be able to say them right anyway.

He says so many names incorrectly, it makes me wonder if he even knows who these people are.

Here are a few names he says incorrectly:

Giannakopoulis
Aliadiere
Joaquin
Henrik Larsson
Giuly
Baraja

I know that there are more, but I can't remember them at the moment. I'll post them if I think of them.

He says Nikolaidis' (Greece NT) name... but when Motson gets excited ie. Nikolaidis has an opportunity on goal, he says: Nikolenas!
So stupid

I feel the same way! AI should have made the commentary side a little bit better... They say the same thing over and over...

They didn't even do Christiano Ronaldo's name! How hard would that be, they already have Motson saying "Ronaldo!"

You know one thing I wish that they had done with the commentary is make some more specific "scenario" based calls if you will. Look, we can assume that Henry will be scoring a lot of goals. So why not have Motson call "And Thierry Henry with a superb individual effort there!" or something of the like? Same goes for other prolific scorers like Ronaldo, Schevchenko, or van Nistelrooy. Additionally, we can be pretty sure certain people will be taking a lot of free kicks. So why not record a call like "David Beckham looks set to take the free kick." I mean they already have some calls like "It's Gravensen!" or "It's John Arne Riise!" so why not have those called when they take a free kick? Keepers should have specific calls too. I mean there's no reason they can't record "Buffon with a terrific save!" or "Howard out punch the ball clear!" Finally, most teams have a set penalty kick taker. Wouldn't it be great to hear "Luis Figo smacks it home from the spot!" or "Imagine the pressure that must be on the shoulders of Del Piero!"

I think one of the best things they could do would be to let us choose a commentary call for a player in an edit mode. There's no good reason Motson does a call for Simon Davies but not for Kevin Davies, that's just lazy programming. There have to be dozens of duplicates like that. I know there's a "Sørensen" call in there, let me apply it to the Danish national keeper.

Its pretty annoying when I'm in mid way through the season with a record of 20-0-0 (W-D-L), playing a mid table team, and they say both teams are struggling to find consistency to win the league. After I net the first goal, they say something abt confidence of being NEAR the top of the table when I'm already 9 points clear on top.

EA has done a great job with graphics, spice up the commentary pls.
