Since I didn't have the game on the day it was released I came here every other day to read what you guys were all saying.
Some comments were made about the poor commentary, the standard in particular!
I have to agree it is poor compared to say FIFA, but when I read all the stuff here I said I would just turn it off when I get the game
However, it proves invaluable and although not comprehensive it does shout out the most important things at the right time!
The game is so absorbing when you're in full match action that you tend to not look at the time left.
The commentary has helped me speed up a move when I didn't realise it was nearly time up and I needed an equalising or winning goal.
Also, what some may percieve as a bug, the commentator shouts out, 'and that goes behind for a corner' or 'and he blasts it home' and on each occasion if you are the player benefiting from the corner or on the receiving end of the blast at your goal, you experience delight or despair, but in fact he calls it wrongly and then changes his mind.
That to my mind all adds to the fury of the game. Several times when playing a real hard game and I think I have done well to get a corner, when all the time I haven't, and the replay shows I did put the ball behind.
It is also with relief when he says he's scored and they didn't when your are defending a big attack from the opposition.
Although the general banter in the middle of a game is not up to the rest of the quality of the game, for me the imporant parts of the commentary are there and can add to the joy and frurstation of the game.
The 'dual' speech bug is very unprofessional and would make players of the 'Eye Candy' one grin with delight
Overall I think Konami have provided the real essentials and nothing else in the commentary, but that's really all we need when getting into a big match.
