New World Soccer - 8 Nations Patch - Fifa 08

Here is a small patch that will add on eight national teams from the Concacaf Region to Fifa 08. The Nations are Jamaica, Honduras, Guatamala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama, Canada, and Trinidad and Tobago. This a small patch that has many different contributers. But you could say that most work for rosters is Mrlloadin. But other contributors are donovanfan, katracho, bobscratchit, Samuel Juarez, and others.

it should install directly into the fifa main directory. Sorry it took so long to respond.This patch does not include the USL.For this patch I wanted to concentrate on international competitions like the upcoming Champions LEague and superliga.I think donovanfan will be working on the USL.

Then you should have USL teams in it, Vancouver, Montreal, and PR all are able to qualify for the CL. Montreal is the favorite for the Canada spot, even in the TFC fan camp.

hello i want you to have this images, you need to insert this ones with cm 08 to appear in the manager mode when you want to play a league from central america, enjoy! maybe you can add these ones to the patch

Hey, just wanna let you guys know that I've been keeping track of this thread for months and am anxiously awaiting the CONCACAF and MLS/USL patches. Your work is appreciated! I did my own personal half-ass patch for 07 and know its alot of work, but it was worth it to see Revs vs. Rhinos in the Open Cup (even if I made my kts by cutting/pasting crests onto other kits).

I'll be reputting together the Champions League this week, while trying to fix the initial release, I inadvertently deleted the whole patch from my fifa 08. After that release the MLS update will be coming directly after.Also, is anyone working on the USL divisions?

MLS Adboards

With the great assistance of FOKA - I've decided to try my hand and at making adboards for the MLS. These are the adboards for the Chicago Fire. They are team specific - all sponsors from the their respective team websites. If you all like them - Ive dont the whole league and will upload them. Just let me know. Also, let me know what I can do to make them better - Thanks.

I am eagerly awaiting the MLS update. I'm not sure if it was you who did that awesome MLS 2007 update last spring/summer with all the new kits, rosters and the likes.

I have NO editing skills, but I can help you out with Information regarding LA if you want.

a few questions about the MLS Update Patch
what is needed to make the patch work ? (clean installation of fifa + ?)
will the patch be an "autoinstall" one ?
what gets updated with the patch (2008 kits, 2008 rosters, + quakes, faces ? adboards ?)

I just want to encourage anyone working on a USL patch to PLEASE continue your important work!

While my Timbers can't qualify for the CCL, it is true that no CCL patch is accurate or complete without the PR and Canadian USL teams.

And while you are at it, you can fill out the CONCACAF region with the rest of the 7 USL teams.

the mls update isd going to be a .cmp patch and will also contain the re release of the champions league....I have not added Puerto Rico or Bermuda of the USL into the patch for the simple reason that it is my understanding that someone else is already working on that for you guys.
After I am done with this patch I am considering doing a couple league, I'd like to see guatemalan and possibly costa rican leagues added

I'm going to get off my butt and work on some USL. I promise to at least get going and finish USL 1. The season is about to start so we will have some addition of new kits and rosters. So I won't bother finishing for the 2007 season, it's just not worth it, but why not do for 2008.

Great to hear and agreed that finishing 07 is a low priority at this point.

I'm curious about chants - in what format are the chants in, can the be assigned to teams, and generally what would a layman like me need to do to record some chants, and get them into your patch Donovan?

I got of my butt and finished one team. Atlanta Silverbacks 2008 Rosters in CMP format is up at www.newworldsoccer.com

I will try to get one team done every two days. The nice thing about using previous year is the fact that I already have many players already done. I only had to create five players for Atlanta.

No global data adjustment could be done because all teams would have to be done. This is useful when we want to see teams finish like real life standings in the simulations.
