First time poster. Thanks for any and all advice.
I've played online PS2 for a few years now, first with Madden and NCAA titles '04 and on. FIFA 07 is the first soccer game I've played online, and while I enjoy it very much, I encounter the same problems.
I know that sometimes I can't connect with an opponent online ("connecting..."), and it often takes a few tries to find an opponent that the server will allow me to connect to, but I don't know exactly what influences that process on my end. This tends to happen more with FIFA than the other EA titles.
I often used to play a buddy of mine across town, and rarely had a connection problem. As of late we've been unable to connect with one another, perhaps the last 10 times we've tried to get a match. I know there is nothing wrong with our ISP connecs, and there is no firewall issue. I've seen talk of direct ip connections on here and other forums, but I haven't been able to find that option on '07. Is that for other games or consoles?
