Connection to network lost

Hello,

I've registered my game and I'm trying to play but I keep getting a "connection to network lost" message EVERY time after the player selection screen.

Is it possible that the fact that I've got the NO DVD version to avoid stuttering is causing these problems?

What else could it be?
