No?

My mum got laser eye surgery done 6 years ago.

She said its painless, it takes 20seconds for the actual procedure. What takes the longest is the preperation, and if they can't do it to you, they won't. You go blind for a split second then you can see, and you notice the effects right away.

Not only that, but after she got it done all her friends who needed it and my aunty got it done and all agree it was the best thing they have done in ages.

is it true that the effects can wear off after a while and you need it again?

Many people love the idea of getting rid of their glasses and contacts, but they cringe at the thought of having a procedure performed on their eyes. We’re hoping that we can help people overcome their fears by providing accurate and helpful information about LASIK and other refractive procedures. With time tested technology and fine-tuned surgical skill, this procedure is one of the safest, most effective eye treatments available. And we believe the benefits far outweigh the risks.

Here's a set of questions to ask a person who HAS undergone Laser Eye Surgery.....

1. Do you see large green blobs when you stay up late at night?

2. Do you have to turn down the room lights when you stay up late at night?

3. Do you experience any kind of bleeding out of the eyes?

there's one crucial thing, I've witnessed seriously experienced ophthalmologist wearing glasses.

I mean, using contacts might be ok if you'd be arsed to keep them clean hence they may lead to serious eye infections.. but laser surgeries are much more dangerous, things goes wrong and you're blind.. doesnt worth the risk for me..

the safest way seems to be wearing glasses..

The key thing is that the LASIK surgery is done on the most sensitive part of the eye and is not reversible.
