I have to work in the morning and the game is starting at 2AM here but I'm definitely not missing this one :innocent_smile_1:

for no particular reason I want Estudiantes to take the Cup, I watched almost every match of their campaign and kinda fell for their resilliance....

Should be a good one.

I guess I have nothing better to do, nah jk. After watching most of the competion I'm cerainly not going to miss the 'mero-mero' game. Indeed as MaSsiVe so properly points out, this should be a good one.

wow, what an intense second half.
Estudiantes did a hell of a comeback and Cruzeiro got their chances to tie it back near the end but they looked too desperate...that shot off the crossbar would've been some goal though, what a blast!

Veron my MoM but La Gata did an awesome job too.

ESTUDIANTES CAMPEON!!

I think the MLS deserves at least 1 spot in that Tournament, I dont think anyone can dispute that. The atmosphere in that stadium is awesome.

Congratulations to all Estudiantes fans.
I travelled from Rio de Janeiro to Belo Horizonte to watch the game in the Mineirão Stadium and I'm devastated. Our players looked nervous on the field and we should've hold more the ball when we had the lead.
Anyways that's life...

yes double match maybe sucks but exist many reasons for play one just game for money, players, stadiums, education, future plan ... television, rating, travels ,etc....We see light years of distance between Europe and America. Maybe for game in december ESTUDIANTES -BARÇA many player dont stand for reason economics first player going is andujar (catania)

but my answer is easy in southamerican first money and later futbol

P.D:
and i love to watch champions but only for the players south americans or teams how Barça (AWESOME GAME,AWESOME PLAYER),Arsenal , but for me champions have many games boring

This is probably old. But congrats Estudiantes.
I completely agree with you Nano. The Champions League is basically unwatchable for the most part. I only watch it just to watch the South american players. Very predictable too.

And obviously Barcelona fan will care more about the CL, that's all they've ever won. (0 intercontinental/ world titles, and Spain has 0 world cups). lol.

And i find the double finals to be much better, but that's just my opinion. (I actually fell asleep in the Man U v. Barcelona match. Imagine if it was in Old Trafford and New Camp)

Felizitaciones Estudiantes!

Sorry for the dig up (no need to start a new thread I guess), but International has just clinched a place in the semis in this year's edition at the expense of Estudiantes in dramatic fashion!

Inter won 1-0 at home and were down 2-0 in this second leg when Giuliano scored in the 88th and put them through...feeling a bit gutted for Estudiantes since they had a masterful first half and controlled the game pretty well in the second only to be devastated by that late goal.

Intense ending with a few players from both teams losing their heads and the pitch almost turned into a battlefield...gotta love the Libertadores (H)

La U up next against Flamengo in Chile, should be a cracker too since Fla lost at home 2-3 so they will have to bust their asses off in order to turn things around...looking forward to it :browsmiley:
