couple of Q? on WE7 I ... if you don't mind!

Is the 10yrd tackle still there? I have Pes3 and 9 times out of 10 when you stick a foot in to tackle a CPU player the ball usually runs away about 10yrds or so, either going out for a throw-in or to another CPU player... very annoying!

Does this still happen in WE7 I?

Button reaction time? I have started to notice in PES3 that when I press for my player to "pass shoot or other" a lot of the time taking 2 or more presses of a button to get the player to react, be it pass or shoot?

Thanks ...........

10yrd tackle??? Never noticed that kind of thing happen in PES/WE, maybe you talking about FIFA2004?? or EURO2004???

To answer your question, "10yrd tackle" doesn't happen in WE7I. How far the ball goes out after a tackle is depends on how hard the ball got hits and from which direction.

Button reaction time? It not so bad, Its rarely require to spam on the pass or shoot button. Just keep in mind, passing and shooting is Highly depends on which direction your player facing, and what position your players are. Overall, The gameplay is very smooth.

One of the only reasons I can think of why you would see such a delay in the button pressing, is that if the ball is not at your players feet. Like in real football, players can only pass/shoot when the ball is at their feet. Pressing pass/shoot when the ball is say 5 yards away, is not going to do anything until the player catches up to the ball, which in some cases can take a couple of seconds.

Actually you're wrong. It is possible to do a sliding pass/shot when a ball is away from your feet.

I know what you mean! and no the ball is not 5yrds away but at my feet, and no matter what direction ( as in real life) I am facing ,if I press pass or shoot then the player should react , right enough this might mean that my pass is miss hit or I swing at air same with the shoot button but , and this is the main point when I press a button and the ball is a my feet I should hit it. Be it a clean hit or a miss hit!

This only happens if your not already in control of the ball... or are defending or attacking and about to run the ball out of play. If you are running anywhere else on the pitch (i.e. not close to the edges)... the player won't do such a pass/shot slide.

Isn't this mostly based on the ratings of the individual players?

Wrong my friend, you must be playing WE5 or WE6.

I just got WE7 International yesterday and I have played it all day today and I am having the same problem. In WE6 I could lay off the ball for one of my midfielders and he could run into it and one-time shoot it. All I had to do is quickly tap the shoot button. In WE7 I have to press the button 2 or more times for him to shoot the damn ball by the time all the defenders are already on top of me. The worst thing is, sometimes when I press it, it will work and I will overpower the shot and sometimes I have to press it 3 times for him to shoot. This was not a problem in WE6. Maybe its jsut some option in the menu that you have to select but I havent found anything like that in the booklet or in the menus.

jumbo i promise you it is impossible to slide for the ball if it is just regulary at your feet. ive been trying for the last half hour just to prove a point. the player will just stay on his feet and do a long pass/shot normally.

okay. all you fockers listen up. jumbo is right! it is nothing you can control though. you are under control of the ball, you make a sharp quick change in direction, the ball is hit a bit too far out though, you are forced to pass because a defender is about to steal the ball due to your lack of control, so you press the pass button frantically, because the ball is out further than usual for a normal standing pass, your guy slides for the ball and does a sliding pass. it most likely won't happen in practice mode without a defense pressuring. In game though, you will see it occasionally if your guy still has a chance to pass the ball. It can happen quite often with players with shiznit ball control, especially those tall defenders. try some quick change of direction with them, dribbling upscreen at 45 degrees, then quickly pressing down screen, then press the pass button immediately in the process of changing direction. that's usually when the ball gets knocked too far away while dribbling.

wow, i wrote way to much crap to explain this.

oh dayum, just realised something as well. rarely you wil see your players suddenly bust out with this sliding pass, especially when you are speeding up in one direction and want to make a quick pass in a 90 degree angle or more, the guy looks like he hit the ball just to fast to do a normal standing pass, so to catchup and make good contact, he does a sliding pass. so it looks like he has good control of the ball, but i guess due to ball speed he is forced to make a sliding pass. overall though, I have seen all the variations of them. believe me or not, i know i'm not crazy though!

.....and now i'm done. jeez.:kader:
