CPU player transfers

Hi,

I know I will get some flak for asking this such as " but tranfers happen and you can do nothing about it"...

Regardless, I want to know if ANYONE has managed to find out how to disable CPU transfers in FIFA07? I keep my rosters up to date myself via CM07 and that is how I like them. If a player get tranferred from a League Two team to another I could care less because I wont know the players by name and the chance of me playing that team is remote. But what occured in my last season just annoys me SO SO MUCH! At the winter transfer window Rooney goes from ManU to Lyon for 47million. After this ManU went out of the CL and everything with Lyon winning their games in the CL. Now Rooney may someday leave ManU but sure as hell he wont go to Ligue 1! I know Lyon is a great team but Rooney would simply not go there....

So I ask, is there a way to disable CPU tranfers? Please?

CPU transfers are only relevant to careers, they don't have any impact whatsoever on your database. Take a break from your career and play a friendly with Man United vs Lyon and see for yourself where Rooney is.

I know they have no affect on my database but what gets to me are the "impossible" transfers that occur during a career. ie. Rooney to Lyon...
I would just rather have the option to disable CPU tranfers like you can in NHL07

I don't believe that you can. There certainly isn't an INI file parameter that I can find that would do so. I guess you could set all the teams' initial transfer budgets to zero, but whether that would work long term is doubtful, and it wouldn't stop teams putting top players on the free agent market.

In which case why not just play in tournament mode rather than career mode??

I am impressed by your prescience. What's to say that young Wayne won't fall under the spell of some beautiful Lyonnais jeune fille, marry her and then accede to her request to play for her home town team?? Life is full of surprises old son

look in career.ini. there is a lot of stuff there that deals with that.

Look at carreer.ini in config.dat and look for transfer related values.

Maybe this will do the trick:
MAX_PER_TEAM_BUYS = 0
MAXX_PER_TEAM_SALES = 0
