This works for me
Dell Inspiron 6000 radeon x300

Go to your system BIOS and disable in the power management menu the speed step option.

I can play everytime with no problems now

you know when you just start your computer, there is a message that says "press F2 for setup". That menu that appears after pressing F2 is the BIOS.
