Creation Centre 2004 - Your Ideas

well, im not sure if anyone put this yet but, allow us to control every aspect of the tournaments and leagues, why should someone have to hex edit just to change the groups on the ECC or the UEFA CUP, or the CC? we paid money for the bloody game didnt we??:kader:

I think the worst thing about FIFA2003 was that the options seemed....very very limited when it came to making your own tournament. I remember the days of FIFA2001 where we could really have fun making our own tournaments, not being limited to 20 teams, and groups or knockout....

pls. don't use access database...use dbi file for editing...i don't know the new format but just a suggestion...and of course u can always get also get new ideas from fcdbxp 2k3 or ecpdbi...they r more functional..but first thing pls. keep in mind don't make it buggy and make it work faster...best of luck :$

MY IDEA IS THAT YOU CAN GIVE PLAYER WITH A REAL FACE ANY HAIRSTYES MANY HAIRSTYLES BECAUSE ITS NOT SO DIFFICULT TO MAKE UPDATES OF THE PLAYER

i think in FIFA 2003 you could import a hair style to a player with real face using EA graph ..

but i think if we could add a real face to a player which dont have .. would be cool

A nice little addition would be able edit how agressive each player is, like having Roy Keane really agressive so he is more inclined to get carded or somesuch

The ability to edit stadiums too, assign perhaps weather (let us create it or something), lights on/off, crowd size, crowd behaviour, flares, ribbons, banners etc.

We could also use something to edit the referees- from faces to kits, not necessary, but some ppl will like this idea.

And oh hell, whilst we are at it, lets change the tv logos and stuff too :P

Also, not that I need it but some detailed documentation for the CC as well for the new users plus perhaps tool tips and mouse over tips for many of the sections of the CC.

Being user-friendly for newbies should not be understimated. Usually that's how new players get hooked, and end up preferring the PC version. Clear directions in the help file, with step by step instructions. I know that most of you guys are pros, but don't forget the editing-challenged. :D

Creation Centre To Die For/From

A fully working program first time round would be helpful - especially if it was released just before the game hits the stores. No idea who EA hired for the last time but one presumes they've all been shot. The 2nd Chau Le version was much better - though any packages originally rendered with the first version still proved to be so useless they had to be trashed.

I'd definitely like to see more generic kits this year; something closer to the 50 or so of previous versions. When you're creating custom leagues there sometimes isn't the time to create .bmp images of every kit from the templates and import them into the game, especially when mistakes cannot be rectified later c/o the Lost Saved Games Conundrum. More finished kits a la CC03's bonus artwork package would be welcome as these are easier to tailor than starting from scratch.

Generally though - we need max editability, max fusion with the main product, and easy-to-use interfaces. The in-game interface for most FIFAs I've seen has been pretty awful - especially for creating leagues and cups. Teams arranged by country is fine - but lets have drop down lists of each team and some sort of Drag & Drop like the TSR Dungeons & Dragons character generator. That way it would be a series of quick mouse clicks rather than scrolling backwards and forwards and taking ages to do so.

One final thing - created teams could not be incorporated into custom tournaments and leagues from within FIFA 2003 and although I guess the presumption was that people would set up leagues and stuff within a package first and play on from that, the limits placed on some of the knockouts (16 teams max? Which competition is this?) meant that unless you wanted to run very small cups, the latter (and more interesting) fixtures had to be played out as friendlies. An in-game custom cup generator that could incorporate created teams would therefore add to the list of features to trumpet - as would a return of the zoom cam!

Oh.

The best thing to have is a database that can be updated. I hate how i have to pick between the Turkish League update or an Ajax roster update for example, even though one replaces the swiss league and the other just updates Ajax Amsterdam.

I think the idea explains itself, if i have two patchs that edit two different leagues there is no reason why i should not be able to play with both.

Some of my wishes for the new creation center...

I have an big german fifa-league. All teams in my league can sell or buy fieldplayers, can change their positioning from within the website... And then (once a week) i make an fifa-patch with updated data of ALL teams, ALL fieldplayers used by my league(s)... With fifa 03 i have edited the original-database from CC and then let CC create the dbi-files which i then copy and distribute...

My wishes:

Possibility to Export and Import ALL original Data from any team, any league, any fieldplayer, any kits and so on... Prefered export to and import from an CSV-file. this i easy can edit with a software and reimport into cc.

Possibility to make the import / export automatically with an commandlineswitch...

-import file="filename" -build -quit
-export file="filename" -build -quit

All commandlineswitches should handle in order of appearance.

In this case; first import the data from the file filename into the database, build the needed fifa-data, quit cc

For best results in making own MODs for fifa the Fileformat of the DB-files should be PUBLIC (or at least public to all interested programmers. SURELY possible with an Agreement not to tell the format to a third person!!).

Their should be NO limits in importing or editing user-graphics, chants, partner-logos (Advertising-borders), Teams, Teamgraphics, Players within the CC. The possibilities of V1.6 where MUCH to less for my leagues to make an patch only with the cc...

The most attention in my wishes are the possibility to make an patch for fifa without having to klick tousands buttons or edit manually any data... It should be possible to make all this automatically with an own written software.

For the CC-Author: If you want to see "my" fifa-patch for 03; let me know; i´ll give you an downloadadress for it. the complete patch (data and changed graphics) is about 22mb´s.

Here's the things I would like to see in Creation Center 2004 :

- Edit teams and leagues properties
- Edit players properties : Name, Surname, Short Name, Age, Number, Position, Capitaincy
- Add new players and teams
- Add complete leagues with promotion, relegation, cup, calendar, and ability for the Champions to go in Champions League, etc.
- Add complete Competitions like Euro 2004 qualifying or Asian Champions League (with correct calendar too :))
- Import kits with a kit preview like in FCDB XP
- Import logos (in PNG FOR SURE !!!!!!)
- Import boots, faces, flags and crowd chants (in MP3 if possible) and why not custom Stadium for a team ;)
- For the kits : Maybe more generic kits model (why not all kind of kits which are in FIFA 2004 so the worst kits maker will be able to create their patch without kitmakers help ;))
- An Access database was cool and faster than EACC so we can keep this system to import and export informations ;))
- An easy way to save and import Package from a language to another
- Ability to save directly into dbi files or into a package.

I think that's all for the moment and hope EA will add those stuff to the game.
