Crespo loan

Don't you remember the good old days when the big clubs like Milan bought players instead of recieving them on loan?

Crespo loves playing only one season per team.

Well Inter and Chelsea. :crazyboy:

I dont get why he just doesnt seal a permanent deal. How is the move to AC going to help his career at Chelsea? Sure he'll play football where he is used to the standard but that wont help him that much when he returns to England to fit in with Mourinho's routine that the rest of the squad will already be used to.

Well I personally thought he scored some beautiful goals for chelsea. Will he start over Tommsson or Inzaghi???

I think its not such a clever move.

I would rather have Crespo, who's been sh*t for seasons, on loan to see if he's OK, rather than spend 30 M on him and be stuck with a piece of sh*t.

Milan complete Crespo loan Wednesday 14 July, 2004

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hernan Crespo will wear the Milan shirt next season after Chelsea agreed to a one-year loan deal.

The Argentine has been linked with the Rossoneri for weeks and he’ll be presented to the media on Thursday.

The Italian champions have been in talks for the player recently and an agreement has finally been reached.

Reports suggest that the forward has accepted to take a cut in his £3.5m a season salary in order to complete the move.

Milan have been after a fourth striker for some time to add to Andriy Shevchenko, Pippo Inzaghi and Jon Dahl Tomasson.

The club were initially linked with Bernardo Corradi, but they turned their attention to Crespo after the Lazio man joined Valencia instead.

Boss Carlo Ancelotti is a massive fan of the South American after they worked together at Parma between 1996 and 1998.

The transfer should be made official by Milan this evening

Yeah baby, now Milan have one of the most complete strikeforces in Europe :rockman:

He'll prolly wear #11 and compete with Tomasson and Inzaghi for the spot alongside Sheva

I don't know why people (Chelsea) are upset about Crespo. He played 14 games and scored 10 goals which is pretty good. He struggled at the end of the year because once he came back from injury, Raneiri's tinkering was at an all time high and he struggled to get on the field
