At the moment he IS the best player in the World. There are better players than him out there (Kaká, Ronaldinho, Henry), but he's just outperforming them up to now. He gives defenders a torrid time, lately most of his shots have been on goal, and he's scoring in a regular basis. Dont let his diving and his whining neglect his playing ability. There's no player doing better than him at the moment.

Anyways, why are we even having this discussion. Quater of people in this thread claim that there is nobody better than Cristiano out there this season, the other quater is claiming that Cristiano is no where near being the best and the rest half of the people in here are just laughing at the whole discussion and coming up with other sub-discussions to amuse themselves. Also, add Rony as a 0.517% of the people in this thread who claims that a random skinny player is better than Ronaldo. Oh and a few others who jump on the hate-wagon and throw in names that they heard during World Cup to make it sound like they know something about football.

How can anyone even be serious enough to normally talk about this topic?

The best player in the world is a far shout for Cristiano.Yes he has lit up the EPL for the last couple of months but thats it.He along with Rooney are still maturing and improving all the time.No way they are the finished article yet.Lets see if they would still include Ronaldo and Rooney in the running for Fifa Player of the Year in 2012?
