Curling the Ball on crosses ?

Anyone noticed that when you flick the right Analogue stick when crossing a ball from the wing the Ball whips in with a bend on it ?

I'm playin using a keybord and have noticed that most of the crosses have a general curl away from the goal if you are running towards the end of the pitch and go to centre it. The only difference I've noticed is if you actually cut inside a defender and are heading towards the centre of the pitch it tends to send in a straight cross.
